Default Anyone using a breath meter to monitor ketosis?

I was getting readings of 2.8 and 2.7 until a week ago. Lately the numbers have jumped to 4.2 and 5.2. How come? The instructions say over 3.0 is starvation ketosis. What causes that? How do I fix it?

For the past little while I've been weighing myself every 10 days to try and avoid the inevitable daily weight fluctuations that were driving me crazy. My weight has been consistent since November 1st. Over the past few 10-day periods I've been attempting to increase my carbs very slowly. I was ok at 27 carbs. Meter was 2.7 or 2.8. At this point I'm trying for 30 carbs. Would that cause the keto meter jump? My next weigh-in is January 18.

Am I obsessive? For sure! It took me 3 years this time around to lose 30 pounds. I want to keep that weight off and still enjoy eating.

Sure would appreciate hearing about others' experience with a breath meter.

My keto meter has a little plastic mouthpiece that I rinse off and re-use, but it's only good for 20-25 uses.
