Default Eye twitching?

Anybody else get a twitching eye after starting low carb? I have read it could be lack of potassium or calcium or magnesium?

I remember having occasional episodes of this years and years ago. I recall reading somewhere that muscle twitching may be caused by magnesium deficienxy. I supplement with magnesium as a sleep aid.

Everyone should try magnesium: most people are deficient, and with sodium and potassium, this IS the electrical system of the body, and what our nervous system runs on.
  • get chelated or soak in Epsom salts or otherwise max out absorption
  • straight magnesium is a LAXATIVE and you have been warned
  • I took chelated, to "bowel tolerance" which means go slow and when you notice your bowels: stop
  • if you are low, it can be lots: I was taking up to 9 500 mg capsules a day at first
  • now, I take one every couple of days, because I built up my reserves again

Oh my gosh! I'm sorry I missed this one when it was posted. I get eye twitches whenever I start some protocol that is good for me. There have been several supplements that caused eye twitching when I started, i.e. Ubiquinol, magnesium, mk-4, and iodine. I've been on low carb for five years now. The times when I have returned to real healthy, low carb either after a full blown binge or simply after eating a lot of low carb fake food (like every summer), I get the eye twitch. I wish I knew exactly what caused it, but I tell myself that the eye twitch means my body is healing.

ETA: The opposite of my eye twitch occurs when I eat something bad for me - it's a mild headache on my left side, right next to my eye. I can't remember which eye twitches when I've begun something good (maybe I'm detoxing?), but I think it's my right eye.
