Default On to Phase II

Well, how time flies. Here I am on day 24. I'm finally leaving the comfortable confines of Phase I.

I had cereal for breakfast this morning. Uncle Sams w/strawberries. Good Stuff! I had tried a box of some Atkins cereal late last week. After two bites I threw the cereal out and ate the box. The Uncles Sams actually tasts good(real) and with the strawberries tastes great. I stuck to the portions in the SB book and no sugar. No sweeteners either, they all taste terrible to me. The strawberries seemed to add plenty of sweetness to the cereal.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for breakfast cereal? It would be great to find one or two more that are healthy but don't taste like cardboard.

It feels kind of weird leaving Phase I...with the Phase II food additions it kind of feels like cheating.

The good thing is knowing I can go back to Phase I if I need to.

I had the strawberry and yogurt smoothie this morning. I like that one, but try to keep it to only 1 time a week. I also like the oatmeal (not instant) with strawberries. Still my favorite is my husbands omlets with 2 pieces of turkey bacon. Sounds like you are doing well on the WOE!

Hi-Lo and Atkins both taste like sawdust. But I've gotten used to them.

If you want a little more flavor try Kellogg's All-Bran Extra Fiber...Still low-carb, but a little bit of that "twig" taste too.

A little more carbs, but a whole lot better tasting....Kashi Good Friends.

Nothing, of course, is going to taste as good as that 57-carb per cup Granola!!!! But I'm not recommending it!
