Default Low carb resources in the UK

A friend of mine in England is interested in starting Atkins (I sent him the book)
Does anyone know of any low carb food sources near Eastleigh. He has been unable to find Atkins brand foods or vitamins. Any online (UK shippers) recommendations would also be helpful.
Thanks for your help.
Tony

Hi - no, you can't buy Atkins brand stuff here really. Vitamins - just use Boots or Superdrug own multivitamin with minerals and get a health food shop to order potassium if they don't stock it - most do.
There are online suppliers, I'll go and find the web addresses, but they're really expensive.
Boots own and Thorntons diabetic chocolate is sugar free, so good if you need a chocolate fix, though the maltilol can cause problems.

I think most of us in the UK just eat 'real foods' more, because you can't buy the low carb branded.stuff.
That said, its probably cheaper and maybe better for you this way.

There is a thread about food in the UK section where people list where they've found good stuff in the supermarkets - that would probably help him.

Take care, Jay

It's the same here, not readily available - tell him to go with real food and he'll do fine - remember to tell him about the vitamins, they are very important. Hope he knows he'll have to stay away from the Pubs for a bit

I didn't realise that there was a UK section.
Thanks again
