Talking Who's interested in dance?

I dance every morning and have lots of energy since going low carb in 2003! I love my new ipod. It really frees me to do wilder moves. I do free form dance and my own "step" aerobics but I love Yoga and also practice on my own daily. I also love pole dance which does not mean I am a stripper or work in adult entertainment. I just like to dance on my pole. What a workout, especially for arm strength. I'm 48 and do have energy (I also run a professional family child care center and am the president of the board at my community center.) When I was 20, I had about 1/3 of the energy that I have now. This is due to low carb eating and I am elated about it. I kinda feel bad that I missed out on my 20's and 30's though.

You go Girl!!! I love to dance as well and need to make myself turn the music on and just boogie. lol Dancing is great exercise for sure. Hmm, maybe that's why I stayed so hyper and slim back in the party days.

Default boogie on

Thanks for responding Cissie. I just joined and I don't know anything about how to use this sight. I read in a magazine ad the other day that dancing for an hour is like running 6 miles! Today in Madison, WI its below zero. I would normally go for a cross country ski in the early evening with my husband but I'm going to tell him that I think its too cold. Today feels like an indoor excercise day to me. And that means dance...dance...dance......

You might want to check out Hip Hop Abs workout from Beachbody. I haven't done the full workout yet, but a friend just bought this and said it was a good workout and fun too.

Dance is the best more effective work out for loosing weight fast.
I have been a low carb dieter for almost 5 years. I did plateau after losing 38 pounds. I broke the plateau and lost another 22 pounds dancing. Let me don't forget to mention that double the food intake while loosing very fast. Today I am a part time aerobic dance instructor and it is my way to keep my weight under control and a license to eat what I want. What do I teach? a collection of Latin dances and Oriental dance (belly dance).

Ohh, I LOVE dancing.
After I reach my goal weight I want to get back into dance lessons. I stopped going because I was always the biggest girl there and of course the costumes we had to wear to preform were always very skimpy. And you guessed it, I felt super uncomfortable!

I am looking for a good dance video also.

And Nico78 I heard that the NY City Ballet was an awesome work out. I want to try it myself!

Wink dance video workout

I have been a Latin Dance aerobics and belly dance instructor for four year I lost a lot of pounds with this. Also, give me a "license" to EAT without gaining a pound. The workout is called Zumba, if you want to check it out go to:
www.zumba.com.
