Default Salad rhapsody (Just a post, not recipe)

Have a local friend who runs a small farm, brings produce to farmers markets, etc.

Usually ones it's impossible for me to get to.

She recently started "taking orders" to bring her produce to the meetup where we always see each other.

Got 2 bags of salad greens, some cilantro, and dill.

Since Monday night, these have all been getting chopped up together and served with cucumber & bell pepper...

OMG, garden-fresh greens are so fabulous! I grew up with a garden... "Salad" meant leaf-lettuce endive, and escarole that had been picked just before being served. (Probably with parsley, scallions, dill, and chives chopped in.) This reminded me of that.

First night, I checked our salad dressing, said, "Nope, can't eat that", so drizzled a little olive oil. Last night, drizzled a little ACV.

Usually, the greens in the salad are the stuff holding up the avocado, egg, cheese, meat, or whatever else I've added.

This? This is just pure, garden-fresh heaven.

That sounds so good and how wonderful that you grew up with a garden when you were a child.
I love dill so much, especially with chopped up chicken, mayo and a little bit of celery seed in there too.
