Weighed my all-time lowest adult weight this morning: 171.2 lb

So what did I do? Ate some bacon for lunch. That'll put a pound on me, but it'll be gone in 2 days so it's no big deal.

It tasted great too.

I gave up dairy last week again and I'm still the same weight for 3 weeks now.. guess its a plateau. Any suggestions? I can't really IF because of hypoglycemia. I had asked Dr. Fung and he said not to do IF.

I don't want to advise anything because you have other health issues.

Have you tried smaller portions of foods resulting in fewer calories.

I know if I go over 16k calories I gain no matter how keto I am.

Stalls are a bummer, but they are usually temporary.

I would add to Bob's advice that eating (snacking) frequency can have a major impact on weight adjustments. Over time, I've adjusted to two meals a day with no snacking at any other time, and it's made all the difference.

A bacon breakfast today!!!

Composition of the meal was recently discussed on a youtube posting looking at high morning blood glucose levels.

He discussed timing of last meal and the amount of fat.

Maybe some useful info there. Ill post a link here if I can find it.

Thanks I've been trying to count calories as well. Sometimes it works but I have to be very active.

I have to count calories and walk 3-4 miles a day, at least 5 days a week. Plus fewer than 20 carbs/day and twice as much fat as protein.

The way I figure it is health is the most important thing. Without my health, I've got nothing.

The richest person in the world gets a better hospital bed, but that's about it and you can't Ctrl+Z or Undo all those donuts you ate in your life (or whatever your trigger is).

And it's working. In a couple of weeks I turn 74 and I'm on zero medications.

Activity helps the cells use its energy properly. The oldest people in a particular comunity are moving moving moving.... not exercise as we envision walking or a gym, but just busy busy busy. Imho a long walk must mimic their busy busy lives, rather than sedentary lives.

Bacon. Son told me he is microwaving the bacon.

Here is the video on youtube. Perhaps understanding how the body works will offer clues to help with weight management.

Thanks... I've been trying to transition to 2 meals per day and I end up
eating more calories! I also keep track of calories to see how much I'm taking in,

If you're keeping your calorie consumption confined to meal time, that's a major step in the right direction. Further adjustments can be made from there.

This sounds familiar. When I do OMAD, I eat and eat, and as the body adjusts, the calorie intake decreases.

Maybe your body just needs more time to make the adjustment.

Otherwise can u divide calories into two meals instead of three to keep at your preferred daily count??

The longer time between last meal and first makes a big difference to how the body used its energy. Even if eating the same number of calories. Once my body can really pull energy from storage my calories drop.

Hope this makes sense.... Im not the best writer.

How many calories a day do you generally take in? Too few can be as bad as too many. I had a friend who broke a 10-month stall by upping her calories from 1300-1400 daily (all weighed and measured) to 1800-1900 daily. After a couple weeks of adjustment she began losing again at a steady clip.

Great ppoint.... a body that perceives starvation will put up road blocks.

Another area to investigate is apple cider vinegar. We use Bragg's unpasturized for anything not vooked /heated. Like salad dressing. Im back to drinking it twice a day no matter what in hopes it really does stabilze blood sugar. (I get the munchies at night.)
