Default Today is day 1 for me!

I read all weekend and I just completed my upperbody workout in 45 minutes, I have all the supplements except for the protein shakes (I'm doing this with Atkins) so I'll use the bars instead.

My one question, I really enjoy doing yoga and walking as a fun activity not really for exercise only (it's my stress relievers) so If I do them will this negatively effect the 20 MAS? I read more is not better, but I see them more as daily living activites?

What do you think? Thanks ahead of time for any info I really do appreciate all of the wealth of info on these boards!

Heather

Heather, WTG on day 1 Feels pretty good doesn't it?

Your added walking and yoga shouldn't be a problem - the excessive/extra refers more to the intense kind of cardio that is the 20 MAS. Because this kind of cardio is more anaerobic than aerobic doing too much of it can lead to muscle loss (Increasing protein can help prevent this). The type of low/moderate intensity you'll get from walking/yoga will not pose this same problem.

Default Congrats Wise1!!

And welcome to the Bodacious Masochistic BFL Babes club!!

Oh yes, I know what you mean about your walking/yoga being an essential part of your day! I love taking my leisure bike rides now in the evenings .... especially because I have all these developing muscles and feel like I could ride for hours! It's these little signs of progress that keep me going and going and going!!

You're gonna love it!!
