I did something to my back - I will wait til I see the chiropractor on Friday and get some relief before I start another round. It's pretty painful - all I can do to get through work right now. Not really functional at home. Hoping for a new round the following week.

Thanks Ken and Thud! See you soon.

36hr fast. I'm officially back in ketosis according to blood meter after over carbing last 5 days and doing "Kraft-like" experiment. Eating crap is fun for a few days but kind of hit a wall with the enjoyment quickly. Probably not the best thing in the world to do but what has been done cannot be undone.

see you when you get back mviesprite - I'm struggling a bit with some swollen feet and legs - affecting mobility - you notice these things!

Day 58 of my "It's time to lose some weight" Challenge

I did what I planned to do yesterday. I ate only regular LC food for breakfast & dinner, dropping the after dinner high fiber flax muffin (which was adding 400 to 600 calories per day). My muffins included whey protein. The trick now is to get my protein up without getting the calories too high. Tough, cheap, lean beef steak or roast beef will do just that.

Days at or under 20 carbs: 48
Days with good portion control: 52
Days avoiding my "Problem" LC foods: 52

Day 60 of my "It's time to lose some weight" Challenge

I was one for two over Thursday and Friday. The work day was perfect. Friday I was off helping my DD#2 move (again). All was good until dinner. I'd planned to be done and on my way home by then. But it was a scorching hot day , so the move went into the evening. I ate from her available food. It was a Low carb day. I just ate too much & ate off plan pork rinds. I should have fasted. That should become my default plan when faced with food choices that are not ideal.

Days at or under 20 carbs: 49
Days with good portion control: 53
Days avoiding my "Problem" LC foods: 53

Default Day 1 of 90

Okay, here I go again. I just ended full-time work. Without a lot of backstory, it is time to put my health at the center of my days. A main goal is to manage the distractions and stay focused on daily practices that support health and weight loss.

1. Intermittent fasting is a daily practice. Work w/in a 16/8 window.
2. I am drinking lots of water now.
3. I recommit to recording my food 24/7. Know what and how much I am eating.
4. Work to have a 500+ cal deficit each day.
5. Meditate increase mental focus
6. Keep writing in this forum.

Hey thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it.

DAY FOUR! Well I'm on a run now! LOL
No bread, wheat, bagels, chips, bananas, or even popcorn. Time to get serious.

So I started in January on the 11th, at 263, and today I weigh 235. I am suspicious of my scale though and it may be partly muscle loss, I dunno, but since I have been at 235 for about 3 days I trust it more than before.

Hey just realized that if I lose 2 more pounds that would be a 30 pound loss! Well that's amazing.........

I'm not feeling good at all so I have GOOD motivation to stay on the straight and narrow!

Day 63 of my "It's time to lose some weight" Challenge

Day 63 again. I skipped an extra day ahead a few days back. In June let the volume of food that I considered 'good enough' be too high to lose any weight. I'm working on getting back into a better weight loss zone. Yesterday was perfectly on target.

Days at or under 20 carbs: 52
Days with good portion control: 55
Days avoiding my "Problem" LC foods: 55

DK_Swan - Yep - 4 days is on a roll. Keep stringing good days together until it becomes your norm. Make it through day 5! Get that 30 pound loss and more!!!

You are doing so great! Thanks for the support, today will be day FIVE. One day at a time, as they say in the 12 step groups.
