Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to share: I read the article about Focused Intensity Ab Training, that Nat posted here last week. I tried it yesterday......and my abs are BURNING today! I did regular crunches using the normal BFL 12 reps, wait 1 minute, 10 reps, wait....etc. But I REALLY focused ONLY on my ab muscles, and used ONLY those muscles to get my shoulders off the floor. WOW....mental focus makes a big, huge difference! So thanks, Nat for the advice.

And thanks to ALL who post here......you're daily input is very helpful and inspiring!

By the way, today is C1, W2, Day 2 and I'm down 6 lbs!!!!!! My body feels better already, less bloated....still lots of energy!!

One more thing: I've been using EAS Advantage bars to supplement my meals. I can not begin to describe how AWESOME the Iced Oatmeal Crisp is!!! It's got basically the same nutritional value as a small chicken breast, small baked potato and some veggies....but it's quick and easy. And tastes like dessert!

everything is going great here. Today i saw muscles that I have never seen before. I was so tired and wanted to stop but the more I looked in the mirror while doing my workout, the more I wanted to keep lifting.

About ready to take my 4 week pics but well see. I am going to California for a week so I have to put the BFL on hold. Maybe some pics when I get back.

Hope everyone is doing great. keep up the great work.

look forward to seeing all of the after pics.

ONLY 9 MORE WEEKS TO GO TO COMPLETE CHALLENGE 1.!!!

I finished my first challenge!

I posted some stats (and pictures) in my journal. I will post the pictures/stats over in this BFL area as well...Probably Monday. I still need to hop on the scale & measure my BF.

However...I am happy with my results & lost a total of 16.75 inches ALL over!


I can now see what I need to work on for Challenge 2...My goals are clearer to me.

BFL is fantastic!

Everyone hanging in? I am on paternity leave for 3 months with my baby boy, having a hard time getting to the gym.. doing push ups and sit ups. Too cold to bring him outside to run just yet. maybe next week. bye

Memphis, I was heading over to this thread to see what had happend to it! Looks like you beat me to it

Have you tried lunges yet? Very effective and no weights are required!

Hanging in here myself. Just started C7 - 13 weeks of hardcore fat burning, and a whole lotta DOMS. Just call me "Hobby" - 'cause that's what I'll be doing for the next two days

So where is everyone else?

I'm still with it, I'm doing pretty good with it so far. Lunges still are tough but I try to do them without weights now so I get used to them eventually. Deadlifts are kicking my butt!

Jeff, I think it's too cold outside for any creature! Even the poor squirrels!

Nat, I've been hearing a lot about that hardcore fat burning program lately. I need to go read it soon. Looking forward to watching you kick butt with it! Hope DOMS isn't too bad for ya

Still here, week 6 and working it... Changing things up with the new gym. doing the ellipitical trainer and more lower body and abs. Upper body still needs work dont get me wrong. Tonight before supper I plan on whipping my A~~. Stiff legged deadlifts and lunges as well as squats.. Also plan to work some tricep and bicep exercises in with it. shoulders look good, chest better not get any bigger. I did abs, back and chest yesterday so they are resting today. As you can see this is not your typically BFL program but I am seeing progress and thats the point. Trying some reverse lifting by loading the weight on the first set and then lowering instead of the other way around and to failure. Only have less than 6 weeks to this challenge and then one more challenge before summer hits and must be ready. I want to turn heads and not like the way I did last summer.

DL, this is day 5 for me, and OMG I'm hurtin'. Yesterday was leg day and I knew when I did the deadlifts that I would be feeling it. I feel 104 years old. Hoping that this isn't a regular thing... I'll just be back to normal and it will be day 9, the dreaded Leg Day.

Sorry to hear that Nat But you know it'll pay off! I did deadlifts today too, they weren't so bad for the first time in a while. I say this now...watch tomorrow I'll be whining!

DOWN ANOTHER 4 LBS. THIS WEEK.... YIPPPPPEEEEEE YYYIIPPPPEEEEE

CAN NOT BELIEVE IT.....

What a happy feeling. I have not worked out in two 1/2 weeks because of my boy, next week starting monday, I am taking him to the child care at the gym. $25 for the month unlimited, 2 hr max. not a bad deal. He should be better by then. He started Rice cereal last night. what a sweeety head.

I'm checking in...Haven't started BFL CH 2 yet...I hope to start March 9...After Hawaii (in case I have mentioned that enough)
