Ok, I have posted this before, but if you really want to know your TRUE weight, you need a good scale. When I first started Atkins years ago I did my research and Atkins Center actually recommends any scale made by TANITA as the most accurate scales on the market. I bought one two years ago and I LOVE it. Totally worth the money (and not very expensive either!) You can get them at Bed, Bath and Beyond and if you look on the internet I am sure other stores carry them. For those of you who are scale junkies (or even if you're not!) it's really worth it to get a GOOD scale and know EXACTLY where you are. I LOVE MINE!

BTW...mine is the 2001 ultimate scale and cost $39.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. Worth EVERY penny!

I would be the first to join the scale junkie unite. I weight every morning.
Lost of three pounds Since Sunday, but almost always the next time I weight i am usually up a pound.
So far today; scrambled eggs with 2 slices bacon for breakfast,
lunch , salad and a hamburger patty,
I have only drank 3 glasses of water today.
Glad everyone is doing so good!!!

One of my new goals is to stay off the scale. Surprisingly easy considering I didn't want to see that hideously high number!!!

B~2 hard boiled eggs, 2 mugs coffe, 2 tbs cream, DaVincis
L~4 egg omelet, 1/4 c broccoli, 4 med mushrooms
S~Fluff
D~Crusted chicken

I am beyond frustrated. I got stuck and couldn't go to mcds for a salad and ended up having to stop at a gas station and get an advantage bar for dinner. I was going to wait til I got home but I was too hungry. Already had one for breakfast. SO now I feel like crap and I am mad at myself. Next week I'll have to plan a little better! C you guys tomorrow!

Don't sweat it, today is just today, and tomorrow is hard enough! One thing Atkins has taught me is organization..... without it I fall apart and cheat and generally get frustated!!!

So lot's of tupperware and and (gasp) prepare my food the night before!!! lol I'm becoming my mother... and I'm a guy!

Plan to suceed or else you are planning to fail!

Your craving after lunch for sweets was probally all the filler in the burgers.. or you had enough "secret sause" on them still or the cheesy cheese they use to spike your glucose just enough.... yuk!

Good luck tomorrow!

later,

Thumbs up

I was such a good girl today. 30 minutes on the stairmaster and 80 crunches.

I have noticed that if I eat advantage bars as meal replacements it's ok. If I eat them as snacks it's not. It's just a thought.. I don't think they're intended to be snacks. The advertising on the package says it's a 30 second meal.

I did a little searching on the atkins website too to see if it says anything about eating them on induction. As far as I can tell, they're ok for induction. But I guess that's all personal preference.

Sorry, thought I'd posted my weight! I'm at 172. Let's see - have had good success so far. Yesterday I had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, and 2 cups of coffee with half and half...(my big weakness!) Lunch was salmon with some spinach mousse, dinner was broiled chicken. Today I had the same breakfast, lunch was two chicken burgers with 2 slices of American cheese, dinner was steak with about a 1/2 cup of sliced red peppers...I need to do be drinking more water - think I only got in about 40 oz. on either day. ANd other than chopping at ice for 1/2 an hour in my driveway, no exercise - which I also need to remember to do!

well, i'll tell you, i will be late to post everytime, which is very ironic because i almost killed my roommate today for being late. she was leaving town, i had an appointment at 3pm, we ended up leaving the house to have lunch together at 2:30! i was sitting on the sofa with my coat on waiting for her to to be ready in "just a minute", for half an hour, sigh. she can't tell time, i know this, i should just get over it and move on. i ended up with a drivethru burger minus the bun. and i am starting out at the same damn 204 i have been practically all of december. at least the keto stick is turning purple.

Jennifer: I've noticed that whenever I'm getting back into LCing after cheating (however long it may be off plan), I'm always a lot more hungry the first 2-3 days and then my appetite goes way down. Now that I know this I make sure to bring more food than I think I'll need to work so I know if I get hungry there's something legal with me. Just a thought...

Well, later today is Day 1 for me! I've got 5 hours left of my graveyard shift and then I'm on vacation!!! When I wake up from my sleep (at about 2pm) I'll be starting my Day 1. I guess that's kinda cheating, tho, because it's more like a 1/2 day (I aim to be in bed by 10-11pm) Hey, there's got to be SOME kind of advantage to working Night shift, huh??

Take care everybody and WTG on doing so well -- Day 2 over, onto Day 3! Good work!
