Tammy39,

I knew that'd raise a ruckus!

I guess the good thing is that we can still have collards, but I must ask you...

Collards ain't nuthin' but cowfeed without cornbread!

Hardest thing for me to give up is...birthday cake. I have a big family, and it seems like somebody's always having a birthday. Our way of celebrating is some ice cream and a store-bought cake--the kind with the really rich icing. Man, I'm hungry

LivinginTN-

I hear you about the b-day cake! I have a chocolate Elmo b-day cake in my fridge right now (2 year olds b-day yesterday). Last night it was speaking to me! I do have a recipe for a sugarless, wheat free LC cake I made for my b-day. It's not the sugary oohey-gooey kind but for LC it's not too bad. Here's the link to the recipe I posted in my journal after I made it:

http://forum.lowcarber.org/showpost...1&postcount=141

That is probably as close to b-day cake us LC'ers will get!

I have two things I miss the most, bananas and milk. My kids love bananas and they call to me from the kitchen.

Thanks for the recipe, Sunspine...looks delicious...and it's just in time for my birthday on Friday!
Of course, I won't do any baking that day. I'm gonna be as lazy as possible in celebration of my big day. However, the instructions in the recipe are clear enough for me to pass it along to my boyfriend as a hint...
