Well today is one week for me, I am down 6lbs. in 7 days. Yesterday I had quite an appetite but nothing really hit the spot. I know I am missing some vegetables. What is everyone going to add for their 5 carbs this upcoming week? I am thinking maybe celery, cukes and some coleslaw.

A reminder for a sweet treat, Farmer's Soda, diet soda and heavy whipping cream. I don't eat jell-o so this is my replacement, it's really good with orange and root beer, I try to keep it to an 8 oz glass.

Also, this is my first time using ketostix and they were showing the 2nd darkest color. I could always tell in the past by the taste in my mouth and my appetite, but I know you are supposed to use them as you add the carbs back in. Hope everyone else is having good success with this plan.

250.8 ... down 3.4 pounds! I ordered the 72' book, but its not here yet. I got a hardcover printed in 1972, the musty smell may knock me over when I open it It must be getting very popular if they are reprinting it!

When it's time to notch the carbs up, you add 5 more carbs a day? I haven't been eating cream and only an ounce of cheese and not every day either... I think that makes as huge difference for me too. I do drink coffee black(as in lots), no sweetner or cream. Not hard to do, I have always taken it thus! Coffee to me is 'non negotiable'. Exercise well, I know that I NEED to do something to help with the flab, so I started back with weight training...I have no excuse, we have a full weight room in the garage. And DH loves playing 'personal trainer' - I am so glad he is not into running. I can't do that, I get shin splits after 30 seconds.

I'm still waiting on my book. I'm doing DANDR clean induction until it arrives with success. I am curious about what those "revolution rolls" are! I can't imagine what the '72 book defines as a "roll." I guess my burning curiositiy will have to wait until my book gets here!

Hi Rhonda,
The revolution rolls and their modern, Cleochatra equivalent, are in the recipe/breads section on the forum.

But neither is appropriate for induction, right?
Though T-Man's rev rolls are since they are made with mayo.

btw, I am starting 72 induction today, can I hop in here? Starting at 160 lbs. Really hoping to get to 155 by the end of ten days...perhaps optimistic, but we'll see!

My book came today.

I am going to do a week of induction this week. Next week I am going camping for 4 days. When I get back I will do another week of induction then start adding carbs back in. This is a little scary for me. I have been VLC for the last 6 months. Well except for the last couple of weeks I have been eating too many strawberries. Do you see any problem with doing it this way?
