The Cowboys did great yesterday!!
My former team the Bengals finally won too...
Tennessee had 8 FG? WT Heck?

The cold & the rain came here to Killeen too...
They cancelled DH's PT this morning & I had him go back to bed for a few hours. It's good sleeping weather...

I've got school, so I'll check in later!

<whistles
yooo hooo! anybody home?
Hey, all Texans! How's everyone doing? I love my state, and obviously everyone here does too. Aren't we a lucky bunch? Yesterday it was 90 here. Went to the lake Sunday, and got my first sunburn of the year! I see others from other states complaining about the cold, and I remember to love, love, love our blue skies and warm temps. I'm not too keen on our cedar problem, but hey, if we didn't have that and scorpions, there'd be no reason to try to get to heaven...because *here* it would be! Texans are truly blessed people.

Default More Texan every day

It's been about a year since I posted. Poor health and a nasty bout of pneumonia and phlebitis kept me down this spring. I was eating on the high carb end and suffering severely. I had to go back to LC and am now happily much better and 40 pounds lighter.

My baby, that 22 pound cat is now down to 19 pounds (that is a big drop for him) as I have put him and the other three on a no-grain Wellness wet food. They are all on "Catkins." Doing well, too, but at first they wanted their unlimited dry food (the folks who feed raw food to cats call it "kitty crack").

I sure know about withdrawal. It was amazing to see my cat crew go through the same. I had to be careful with my fat cats because depriving them of too much food will bring on fatty liver, but after being very careful and making sure the two fat ones got enough to eat, they are all doing well and not missing their kitty crack too much, at least not begging for it.

And now for keeping low carb for me. I still have a large phlebitis lump above my right knee that reminds me this is a life and death way to live/eat for me.

Glad to see so many Texans still around. Three years in August I will been in San Antonio/Live Oak. Liking it more every day. Now I just need to know what variety of tomato does well in this growing area.

Hi TejanaCJ,

My brother lives in Live Oak & my DH is from that area too. I live north east of you past Cibilo.

It's good to have you back & congrats on the 40 pounds loss. BTW your kitty is cute I love black & white cats.

I know tomatoes do real good in this area but not sure which ones.
