I am really not sure if Aspartame is safe or not. What bugs me is the fact, that we don't get a choice. I either drink soft drinks with so much sugar in them, they can barely manage to fit any water in it, or the diet version with Aspartame. Here in the UK, thats all we have. All kid's drinks now contain Aspartame (and sugar and fructose-glucose-syrup as well), sucralose sweetened Pepsi doesnt exist, and to be honest, I don't like the taste of that one anyway. Why can't they sell bottles of Coke/Pepsi without any form of sweetener, and little sachets of sugar/cyclamate/saccharin or whatever one fancies to add later as per taste ?
