No Change This in the way for me -two week no change then drop 3-6 pounds over night . Hopefully next week!!!

Bad news for me!! In over 90 cheatfree days I blew it!!! Last night my hubby brought home Baba-kanush (spelling?)(eggplant dip), with pita bread. The dip alone would not have been bad but the pita bread was calling for me!!! Yes I ate the bread!!! First bread in over 90 days!!! I have now lost my cheat free count - I am back to zero!!!!

I am reintroducing today (by the book). I eat a low carb cheese cake on Saturday (from a low carb store) that claimed to be only 1 carb and that took me out of the pink on the stick!!! And then to eat that bread last night!!!

Oh well it could have been worse - it could have been a week long cheat!!

Good luck all!!!

Must get to work now.

Good luck to you all.

Talking

My Letter Reporting: I spoke to a friend of mine, I had not spoken to since I moved from Texas. Seems she has a crisis on her hands. Her daughter is 6 yrs old, her 2nd grade teacher told the class that there was no Santa Claus. Needless to say my friend has a confernce with the teacher today.

Whoo-Hoo I'm moving up in the world, I now have 2 little eggs, instead of one for icons!!

Default Still the same

My weight is holding stable, which is actually good, considering it was a busy week and I didn't have time to fit in any real exercise. Plus, Saturday was my wedding anniversary so we took the kids out to celebrate at their favorite place, Country Buffet. I usually gain at least two pounds from that place, but I pigged out and gained absolutely nothing! (No bread or pasta, just meats and salads. Although I did sneak in a piece of pizza.) That's actually good because that means my metabolism is adjusted to my current weight. I'm not going up in weight at all.

This week I'll put in an all out effort on low carbs and controled calorie count, get out the bike and shoot for a breakthrough week. But my goal is a very slow weight loss because that's the only way to keep it off. The body has to adjust. Otherwise, the weight easily comes back on. If I can now lose two to four pounds a month consistently, and keep it off, I think I will be better off in the long run then trying to lose too much weight too fast.

The best part about this weekend was buying new clothes a size smaller then what I have been wearing the past four years. Since March, I am down 17 lbs, and I dropped from a size 18 to 16! I haven't seen that size for a long time. So I'm happy. (I almost had to buy a size 20 and I had to move up to size 1x for shirts back then, so I think that's what really got me going. I did not want to buy bigger clothing. And my blood pressure started registering over 140. Now I'm around 120/80.)

I have band rehearsal tonight, (I play trumpet in a local college community band), so no exercise, but no chance to really eat since I won't be home. I'll start exercising more consistently starting tomorrow. I want to stay at a size 16 so I can throw out all my size 18 pants! Everyone have a great week!

Good morning friends! Thanks to everyone for encouraging us all. Karen you sre remarkable in wanting to "stay with it". You have the get-go that's contagious! Don't get discouraged, that scale has got to move soon. I forgot to weigh myself last week, so today is my first day.

Ok, LETTER REPORTING TIME: I wrote a letter to a girlfriend whom I haven't spoken with since spring. Yesterday would've been her mom's birthday, the first birthday that g/f couldn't celebrate with her.

For info on letter, please refer to the first page or two to give ideas. I think it's great because we're not only making a difference in someone's life, but we're encouraging ourselves, especially when the scales don't show change.

Alexs: What a great anniversary celebration! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, FRIEND!

Hello all,

Just joined last week...still new to everything...

Questions:

-how do I get the information under my name? like say I want to record my weight loss under it or favorite saying?

-where are we to log in measurements? I didn't know it's done on mondays, thanks for the infor...will do mine later today--it's already monday.

-to do the real letter, do we just email someone or actually write and mail a letter to an address? sorry I'm such a newbie.

I thank you all for being so candid and open it is a blessing for me.

I plan to start exercising soon....as soon as I can fully unpack my house and stop living out of boxes....

This week my goal is to loose 2-5 lbs..this week end was bad for me...

I'll get on the scale in the morning to see where I start at...i think i may have gained from this weekend's improper eating...

have great day you all....

"Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father"

estherm, welcome to the group. Packing and unpacking is exercise.

Glad everyone is doing good. I have gained 3 lbs. It is before my TOM. Inches stayed the same. I think the effects of radiation are kicking in. Very tired and now I have this head cold. Can't stop sneezing. My dh came home from work early because I can't keep my eyes open and the kids are home from school. The big news is that I have exercised for 8 days in a row and will probably do some tonight when the nap is over. I actually sent out a thank you note. Had been putting it off but this motivated me to do it. Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement. Blessings, Maureen

Hi everyone its Monday and I weighed myself first thing. I weigh 117 pounds exactly. I am happy to report that because even though I did not lose I am maintaing this weight. I run and still lift weights I did cheat this weekend (Olive Garden) so that might explain why I didnt lose. I am still maintaining my 117. Love you all and talk to you all soon...bye.

Stacy: Denise Austin! LOL! I wish I was her....

Maureen: 8 days in a row!!! I am soooo happy for you. You're doing an awesome job! Don't worry if you breakup your exercise routine throughout the day, I saw an article about that and said it actually burns more calories, etc. if you exercise intermittently throughout the day. Don't worry about those 3 pounds, probably just water weight gain.

Zuleka, thenewme, and Tashi: I live in Cooper City/Davie and work in North Miami. I also am from Texas. I moved to Florida 16 years ago from Houston. I lived in Houston for 17 years growing up. I also lived in Dallas for 3 years and in Chorpus Christi for 6 months. I MISS TEXAS TOO! My father was a Lutheran minister growing up so he was always getting assigned to new churches and building up the congregations from the ground up.

Zuleka: You work in Sunrise---just wondering if you are in the healthcare field...

mdklinesh: I love the Atkins blueberry muffins and the banana nut bread too!

Dstar: Welcome, you're kitty is very cute.

Fishburg: You have accomplished a lot being 90 days cheat free. Congratulations! I will try and find some low carb halloween treats for you.

Susan: Sorry to hear that your thyroid is going hyper. Hopefully, you will have it under control soon. Well, at least you're losing weight!

Meg: Thanks for all your words of wisdom. Very enlightening. Thanks for taking the time out to share with us....

Alex: Happy Wedding Anniversary!

Karen: Sorry to hear that there is no change. What did the doctor say about your heel pain?

estherm: I hope you get unpacked soon. I just went through that about a month ago... I feel for you.

Hi to Tina and Annie and anyone else I might of missed.

Today's goals: Run/walk for 30 minutes and Upper body weights
Today's food: cheese, sunflower seeds, steak and salad

For Fishburg:

These would be fun recipes for your cadets. If you want to make them low-carb maybe you could substitute the sugar with Splenda, etc...

Just a quick check in... no loss this week, even my measurements are the same, but it is my TOM so I am not discouraged. I did meet my walking goal for the week and sent a thank you note to a special friend.
