(Honestly, I haven't had too much to say there lately myself; the only thing going on with me of interest is the process of shifting my feed window to fit my new work schedule. I think a lot of others are busy with springtime-related stuff.)

I think it is actually a good thing..it means you (we) are not having issues with IFing that need to be addressed. We've incorporated it into our lifestyle.

This is a very informative explanation of why fasting works. This also outlines the importance of ketones, ketosis and metabolism. This was another" Eureka" moment for me. One of my favorite Dr. Mike's blog entries.

Black, thanks. I always like getting references. I'm currently reading PPLP and it's my first real introduction to the Eades.

Jones, I am glad that you read the reference. I am on Atkins but it is the Eades that made me look at low carbing with clarity.

Well our 'cult leader' Kneebrace has gone on the lamb (no pun) and some others left after the Materson study published, even though we proved it was a flawed study and the subjects ate +300g of carbs / day. I also believe the feeling cold metabolism effects scared some off even after they were debunked as well.

Most of us; like me are coasting along, enjoying the ride and reaping the many health benefits, and having a new life without sharing it much on-line.

Mike, are the Materson study and the feeling cold metabolism effect discussed over on the IF thread? I haven't gone back and read the whole thing since joining there. I don't know anything about either.

I believe that Dr. Mike has a blog on that also. I continue doing IF without any regrets but I think that it is because we do it as low carbers. But I will read more before commenting. IF works for me and there has to be something scientific about that.

Yes they are, but its a ways back in there. I remember its normal to feel cold on any diet especially if low-calorie. I now take kelp for iodine; I also eat seaweed (Sushi Nori) and take Ginkgo Biloba for circulation and live in a warm climate, but my cold issues are much less now than pre IF and while I was on regular Atkins plus Ginkgo supplements even though I have less body fat for insulation now

Also my morning temperature is up almost 1.5 degrees to almost normal.
