I hail from Port Orchard. We are an hours ferry ride across the sound from Seattle. We have LC products mostly at Fred Meyers, and Albertsons. In Belfair which is maybe 10 miles from here we have a fellow low carber that dedicates half her store to low carb products. If I need a specialty product I can usually get it there. I'm not real comfortable travelling to Tacoma because I hate the Narrows Bridge. I remember the time DH and I made a cross country trip from Michigan to home, the only traffic jam we encountered was on highway 16 near the bridge. I do go to Marlenes occassionally, but try to get most of my stuff locally. There are alot of us in Washington State that follow low carbing. That is gratifying to see. Judy

Default Washingtonian, born and raised!

Hi all,
I'm fairly new here. I live in Lynden, WA (lived here all of my 44 years!) just north of Bellingham, just south of Canada. I know we have lots of places to get LC stuff, but I haven't really gotten into it that much. I'm still on induction, and not sure if I'm even losing yet, so trying those goodies is not for me! Anyone else freezing their BUNS off right now with the arctic blast we're having?

Yes, I am in Moses Lake right now at -15 below. I've never been in such cold weather. However, I'll take the feeling colder over the weight

Default New to Washington and LC forum

My husband and I have relocated from Austin, TX. We are new to the area and hubby we have both been doing the LC thing for a while. We started with a nutritionalist and do a modified South Beach diet. The nutritionalist recommend low carb high fiber foods.

Also, were looking for people in the Port Townsend area as we are interested in relocating to that region in the next year. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Tracy, I just moved to Issaquah and I LOVE IT! So many places to walk, lots of hills, trails, always see people outside hitting the pavement, walking, running, biking up these huge hills. SO much better than where I was living (Lynnwood), just have to get used to Banana SLUGS!!!!!

I'm near Lakemont Blvd & I walk from my house (all uphill) to Lakemont, down the hill to Starbucks on Lakemont, have coffee & read the paper on Saturdays, walk back UP the hill and down back to my house. It's about 4 miles alltogether. Great workout and I have the blisters to prove it!

We should meet up one day at Starbucks for coffee

LL
