Stairs at work
Water consumption was great

Day 25 - 28
All is going very well.
I have stayed on the plan I outlined on Day 1.
I have not found any need so far to go off plan but mom's birthday is coming up soon and I am sure she will be having that delicious red velvet cake. The way I feel right now is that I won't indulge in anything because I am not ready to take on the possibility of a slippery slope.
I feel that very soon I will need to amp up my activity level and I will be able to do it because the continuous pain from inflamation has slowly receded this month and I have more energy.
As far as habit goes, I am still purposeful and focused on what and how I eat but it is not yet second nature and I don't expect it to be. I am still learning so much and changing. I am very pleased with January so far and that I have a streak of consistent success following the plan I laid out.

You are right to ask about having a plan - I need one. I am not expected to eat the cake but there's a lot of pressure to have something as part of the celebrations. Going into that situation without a plan can lead to issues. I think it will be a good opportunity to make something with the unsweetened 95% dark chocolate bars I have on hand. Yes - that's what I will do. I am going to whip up something. I love baking so it's all good.

Day 29. Today was a long day at work - 10 hrs straight and another 1.45 minutes to drive home. I got home just before 7 pm. Missed the cutoff for my dinner so I finished dinner at 7:16 pm today and washed it down with water. I wasn't happy about having that late meal because it also affects my sleep. Another fail today was not having enough water... I had about 750 ml (3 cups). I have to watch those two things because when I look at my schedule for tomorrow, I can see that I could easily fall into the same situation as today.
