Just remember that exercise is more than just speeding up weight loss (or not). It's about maintaining health, which goes beyond what you're just eating.

Just thought I'd throw that out there...

I haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks. A little discouraged about my health. Anyway, I weighed myself this morning and I am down to 169 lbs (1 pound away from my second goal). I haven't gone off plan, but I did up my carbs quite a bit for about a week. Decided that was enough and am back down to induction levels this week.

Tomorrow is my scheduled Endoscopy. Hopefully I will have some answers about my stomach pain. Anyway, I will officially update my stats on this thread Sunday.

So the verdict of my stomach issues...

First I have a Pancreatic Rest. It is a polyplike lesion. They also said I have Non-Ulcer Dyspepsia (Bad Digestion) for this it appears I will have to be on some sort of medicine for digestion for the rest of my life. :-(

Ack - that doesn't sound fun at all.

You might want to get into researching some of this stuff. I'd recommend Protein Power Life Plan - it's an excellent 'low-carb' book, but there's also a very good chapter in there on something called "leaky gut".

Also, another good one to read might be "The False Fat Diet" by Elson M. Haas, M.D. - a lot of stomach problems are caused by various food intolerances, and this is a really good book that helps explain a lot of these things.

I don't know what 'pancreatic rest.' is or what a polyp-like lesion does, but I do know that a lot of digestion issues are caused by food intolerances, sensitivies and allergies.

Did you end up having your gall bladder removed?

I really hope you feel better soon. I'm still looking forward to your verdict on exercise vs. no exercise when you are back to your old self again and feeling better.

I second this suggestion. I'm reading it now and it's too dense for me to try to summarize here. Grains (and legumes...which include peanuts) are definitely the major malicious suspect. There's also advice about how to heal - including supplimentation with glutamine.

It is certainly worth trying for awhile - to see if you can avoid life-long medication !!!

I haven't started back exercising yet, but I am down today to 167. That is a total of 35lbs since 1/4/09. I have officially met my second mini goal. That only leave's my third and final goal, unless I decide to change it once I get close.

I had all the tests done on my gall bladder (CT Scan, Ultrasound, Hida Scan) and everything came back normal. They did an upper GI and that is how they found the pancreatic rest and the Non-Ulcer dyspepsia.

Hi everyone i'm not new to this WOE and have been reading this thread I think you camcyd are doing great. I have just started back on LC and haven't started the exercise yet. I will bring my treadmill up from the basement and actually use the rebounder. these posts are starting to get me interested on the road to exercise.

Just a lil update...the whoosh fairy visited me last night. Down to 161 lbs this morning. Only 11 lbs away from my original FINAL goal. I recently changed my goal down another 10 lbs. Anyway, I will update my stats on Sunday.

Only ten pounds away from my original goal weight. 1 more pound down!!!!

This is almost starting to scare me...how easy this weight is coming off. Alot of people say it is harder the second, third, fourth time around, but my experience actually has been better this time around. Maybe the first time I wasn't eating enough fat...I don't know.

Anyway, I will update when my weight changes again!!

Yay!!!!!! Another pound!!!!!

I know what you mean about the weight coming off after previous attempts. I think this is my 3rd or 4th time at Atkins and I have gotten down to my lowest weight this time. Not sure if it was "easier" but I am much more successful, that's for sure. I think it came off quicker this time around, which helps with sticking with it - more motivating.

Well good luck, and keep up the good work!!!
