MOMD day 8

OK day yesterday - even managed to do a little exercise.

Just tense tense tense all the time. TOM is coming and lately that means a certain level of anxiety for NO REASON. It's very annoying to feel so controlled by something physiological.

Oak - glad that it went swifly and peacefully.

2B - congratulations on yur 14 days!

Cynthia I thought of you today. I know how hard it was but it was the compassionate thing to do. My heart went out to you though.

Been out of it for the last few days. My oldest graduated last night. Hopefully with that behind me I can concentrate on me. It was very emotional.

I am MOMD day2

MOMD Day 9

Yesterday was OK -nothing too exciting in terms of food, but it wasn't bad either.

Today I actually did my lunch-time exercise again - first time in a while. If I can force myself into my 20 minutes per lunch hour biking again, I'll be pleased. I could tell it's been a while - huffed and puffed more than when I'd been doing it regularly.

Lilac allergies acting up. I think my head may asplode. I wish I'd known I was allergic to lilacs before I moved to a state where everyone has MILLIONS of the damn plants (trees)! They grow like weeds here.

I'm still MOMD, and am gearing up for my first trip o' summer. I've reserved the car, I've confirmed my hotel reservations and on Sunday morning I'm off to Milwaukee for the week. Possible cheat alert, since it will be hotels, restaurants and deli meats for the week...so Sunday I'm freezing the counter. Unless, of course, I stay the course all week.

My hotel has *free* wireless, so my laptop is coming with. I'll check in once in a while.

I'm feeling footloose & fancy free!

Happy Thursday, all!

An anecdotal treatment I read was to eat a tbs of honey a day. That's hard on a low carb diet though. My DH, even though he is perfect in all other things (Blood pressure/cholesterol/WEIGHT ) He has allergies. I was giving him a shot every week. They've stretched it out to every 10 days now. Brave man, isn't he? He says it is SO worth it. And even if you can't give yourself a shot, you can get on a schedule and go in and they'll give it to you. There is a charge though.

I don't know if taking Royal Jelly supplements would help. (bee pollen)

Here's a site that talks about some supplements

Thanks, Theresa! I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky, but my *allergic reactions* tend to take the form of severe, almost migraine headaches. I seem to be allergic to both lilacs and to eucalyptus...they trigger the exact same reaction.

I used to live in CA where there are GROVES of eucalyptus, which was just miserable. I can't use any remedies with the oil, and once I was in a sauna where people started using the oil and it was just awful. By contrast, the lilac problem only lasts about 1-2 weeks.

I do take quercetin and nettle (for other reasons), and will try upping them during this time to see if it helps.

Certain smells would do that to me too. Even if I couldn't "smell" it. I worked in accounting in a bank, (closed in) and every time the pest control company came, I would get a horrid headache. Migraine class. I made a comment in passing to the pest guy, know what he said? But it's odorless....

My DH has a chain cleaner for his bike that will give me an instant headache, my nose will immediately run as will my eyes. He's standing there thinking I got something in my eye! I felt like I'd been gassed! (was in Army Reserves and did experience the, um, gas chamber)

At least yours doesn't last long. My DH is allergic to numerous things and it lasts for months... Apparently, as one thing goes away, another comes in bloom.

Lilacs are weeds.....they grow everywhere!

Though we have a big bush right behind the house and when the breeze is right we get the smell throughout the whole house...and we deliberately planted some out along the back fence...

I'm MOMD and doing dandy! My Baby Sister is here with her son, so I know I am gonna stay low carb as we are not going out anywhere. Lasagna tonight (made with dreamfields so no worries) Eggs n bacon tomorrow morning, bratwurst for lunch and then she goes home.

Tomorrow night though, I have 2 pounds of shrimp and big ol Porterhouse steak...surf n turf Baybeeeee!

I also have a bottle of wine in the basement that will be corked for the occasion...I can have a few ounces and feel good about it! (I'll try not to do the half bottle thing like I normally do....)

So anyway, Oaky....I hope the derned Lilacs don't attack too bad.....

WONJ#10 saying, Benedrill!
