There is something i am confused about. A few posts above someone said cooked veggies have nore carbs than raw ones.

Let's take onion for example since i love onions. If i chopped it and ate it raw it is around 7g of carbs according to fitday. If i cook that same onion the amount of carbs in it increase?

Doesn't sound right to me.

No - The carbs for a cup of cooked veggies vs raw ones are often more because the particular veg 'cooks down' so you get more 'raw weight' into a cup. You could probably get twice as much cooked onion into a cup than you can raw.
The best example is spinach - where one cup of raw spinach would make about a teaspoonsworth cooked!
Likewise tomatoes cook down into a smaller pile.
This is why Dr Atkins told us to measure the cup of vegetables before cooking while on induction.

But, maybe it's also because there is some sort of organic change that happens to some foods when they are cooked -- cooked onions do taste sweeter than the raw ones, don't they? I think the GI level increases. I read somewhere that while raw carrots are allowed in a low-carb diet, cooked carrots are not, because cooking carrots increases its GI.

My advice...don't worry about it! You ate as healthy as you could, it's not going to harm any progress you've made, that's a little amount. Chill!

Scramble, as far as I'm concerned, I'm not "worried" -- I just like to analyse stuff, and low-carbing as a way to keep fit, healthy and thin is such an interesting concept, especially for a long term dieter like me who has been suffering through starvation diets all my life. Isn't it intrigueng to know that carrots increase their GI -- i.e. how fast the body turns it into glucose -- when it is cooked? One can "chill" and seek, imho.
