CherylR: Champers=champagne (hey, it was New Years Eve, after all, and our son and his girl were up in SF at a party...)

Belmont is on the SF peninsula, about 2 miles south of the San Mateo Bridge/101 crossing. We've lived here for 5 years now; before that, we were in Redwood City (which is 2 towns further south) for 18 years.

Ok saw the little images. Like the rabbit on scale, maybe the words a slight bit bigger. If we have that don't think we need the scrolling line. That is my vote anyway. Good luck

How about this? It's about the same size as the cheat free one.

I'm extremely new here, but would also like to jump on the bandwagon. I currently weigh 181, and actually started low carbing a couple of days ago. I had one slip last night when I ate 3 small rolls but have been doing well otherwise. Still just plowing through induction and feel really good so far.

I think the Rabbit is very lovely, and I hope others will vote for her...
Sweet -- we are in the same part of the ballpark for weight and goals, so maybe we can urge each other on to lc success....

Ice vs water...
my opinion is that chewing the ice takes more work than drinking...thus maybe burns a calorie or two...
I've also read that it burns more calories for your tummy to digest the colder water.

Some people come up with the funniest things.

Whew... I slept til 10 this morning.. woke up with a bit of a hangover. Thoght the wine (since I drank so much of it) would bring back food cravings but it didn't.

I had my left over 1/2 omlet for breakfast this morning... just heated it in the microwave. And I've actually drank nearly 50 oz of water today. We went to lunch at a steak restaraunt after walking around this huge furniture wearhouse (IKEA) and I had top surloin, a mini lobster tail, salad with bleu cheese and some veggies. I didn't touch the bread and I got extra veggies instead of the potato, I got full fast, so brought some home with me.

I hope this lack of cravings lasts for a long time.

I still feel hungry at night, but I try and ignor it and tell meself that feeling means I'm burning body fat instead of the food I ate. MIND OVER MATTER I keep telling myself. I'm trying to re program.

So... for me the goal is to lose 5 pounds a month. If somewhere along the way I slip up and don't lose the 5 pounds, I will know that I have 2 extra months to play with to get the 50 pounds gone.
Does that make sense???

Cheryl

I love the last little rabbit thing posted. I vote for that. Later when I get on my other computer (I hate typing on this one) I will update my signature with my challenges in it. Think that is a good idea. Have done well today. Didn't get the treadmill in but did get a nap in since we were out late last night. Will update later with everyone in challenge and starting weights. Welcome new ones.

wow, lots of activity here. good to see everyone

I actually measured myself today, I know that will be a better way
to judge how successful I am being. Some of the numbers were down
right scary!!! What can be scarier than being buck naked with a tape
measure? yikes, of course the bathroom mirror offered no words of
encouragement. It was all thoroughly disgusting
I have been good all day, drank oceans of water, no cheats, lots of low carb
food. We are going to a movie at 920, and I am certain the smell of popcorn
will send me round the bend
Happy New Year all

Welcome Dahliameow...

Anyone who wants golflady to track your numbers for the year, give her your starting weight for the year.

Wow, we have 20 in the group already. golflady... good luck keep up with all of us. I think you should just print the group totals at the end of every month.

do you realize if all 20 of us lose 50 pounds that would be 1000 pounds total. If we get 20 more people we could lose 2000 pounds... thats an official TON.

weeeee....heeee....
