Hey Annie, my eleven year old daughter gets a kick out of my talking on this board. She thinks you are beautiful (I agree) and asks me often if you got your grandbaby yet. I think she thinks it's extra special because she has a big brother almost your son's age and would love to be an aunt. She can't understand why a bunch of mom's (she actually said "old people") want to be the same weight as teens. I think that's a compliment???

Ok Terry Lynne...you can have all the LC chocolate your little heart wants just for making me feel so good! That picture is a horrible one, so thanks for the compliment.

I also have an 11 yr old daughter, and our sons must both be 20? The 11 year old is soooo excited to be Auntie.

About pics on the internet, I didn't know that, but that certainly makes sense. I'm glad your daughter is very keen to the weirdos out there. Even when Nat posted my Germany pictures on the forum, I only had them on for a little while, and it was WITh the entire family, not just daughters.

We want to be the size of teens because we wanna look good!!!
But I realize me as a 43 year old woman will never be a size 8 again. I'll be happy with 12 or 14.

Thanks for your kind words!

Baby should be here sometime Friday, we hope. She will be induced at 6 a.m.!

Can't wait. Saw pics again today to measure how much amniotic fluid is left, and we saw her face! We are sooo wonderfully created and knit together. Then I saw beautiful Mt. Rainier with the full moon over it, all pink from the sunset, and I thought, "Wow".

Hugs to all--Annie-Pie

Hey Annie does she look as beautiful as her grandma? This is soooo exciting. We are all anticipating her arrival.

TerryLynn, your daughter sounds like a sweetheart. I actually lol with her comment. When I was her age, 40 seemed like the end of time.

Blessings to everyone, Maureen

Good Morning everyone,
I have a question. Last night after supper, I got hungry. I debated on whether I should eat a spoonful of peanut butter or eat something low carb. I decided on a low carb egg salad sandwhich. This was more carbs than the peanut butter. EAch slice of bread is 5 carbs. So did I do the right thing by eating the sandwhich or should I have just ate the peanut butter?

Morning Ladies,
Stacy- Sorry if I missed something along the way but does peanut butter trigger your carb cravings? If not, and you're not on induction, than what's so wrong with it? Does it stall you? I eat peanut butter with celery and never had a problem. I could stretch out the taste longer on celery.
As for doing the right thing, well that all depends on the above and whether or not it put you over for your carbs for the day. Maybe next time you could eat the sandwich open faced. That'll save you 5 carbs atleast.

Annie- please tell me you will post a picture of that beautiful grandbaby when she arrives! I can't wait to have another baby. We are strategically planning this one. Everything perfect before we even try to get pregnant. I keep telling my husband that we are in our 30's and it may not happen on our first try. Oh my! I really was not trying to offend his man hood, but he said he had faith in his "boys".

Fit- WOW! That pumpkin recipe sounds fabulous!!!!!!! Do you think it'll last an 8hr drive? Or is it one of those things that'll kinda just flop? I'd love to take it to my in-laws for Thanksgiving!!!!!!

I dropped my 10.5 y/o daughter off at school at 5:30 this morning. They are going on a class trip to D.C. Just looking at their itinerary makes me tired! Sure do get your moneys worth! Poor little thing is gonna come home on Friday night and sleep away the whole weekend!!!!!! She went away last year too. Man! That was hard! I thought maybe this year wouldn't be as bad. I miss her terribly already! I still have my little man at home to keep me busy. Matthew is in 1st grade and such a sweetie! Just a real love bug!

Well have a good day!
A special Hello to the new members!

Heather

Hi Liddle,
I am just trying to figure out what Im doing wrong. I am a slow loser now and i am just doing things different. I was eating peanut butter every day. I am addicted to it. It doesnt make me want anything else and I can just eat one spoonfull. First I tried eliminating the low carb breads, that didnt change anything, then I left out the cheese, that didnt do anything either so now I am trying to leave out the peanut butter. Looks like I am just gonna have to accept that I am a slow loser.

Liddle,

Just wait till they go of to college. I have 3 wonderful daughters. The oldest left this past summer to college upstate. I miss her so so so much. I know this is bad of me, but she gets home sick.... and in a twisted way, it makes me feel a little happy inside, that she is a little homesick and misses me. I guess that means I did something right, that she misses her Momma just a little.

Stacy: I too was stuck and wasn't losing. I figured out it was the sugar alcohol in the Sugar-free chocolates I was eating. I'm losing about 3 pounds a month now. You'll see things will turn around, once you know what your body doesn't agree with.

::tapping foot on floor::: ok Annie, when's the baby coming out !!!
Tell your daughter to jump up and down that might help
Just kidding!

Liddle - LOVED the comic. I saw other people talking about it on this forum, but noone included a link to it. thanks - I emailed it to a bunch of people Sure does show the bad view of Atkins though, I still found it funny. Wow gone from Weds till Fri is a long time for a 10 yr old's mom to have her gone Sounds like a great experience for her!

Stacy- I've read about the health benefits of peanut butter, especially in regards to diabetes, so that makes me think it would be a good choice in regards to blood sugar levels?? I'm no expert, but I do enjoy a tbs once in awhile, especially good if your drinking coffee as it melts better in your warm mouth I have to look and see if I can find what I read about it. It was in a newsletter our health insurance co sends us and I told myself to remember - "peanut butter good for diabetes" to bad I didn't tell myself to remember more about it . My weight lose has slowed WAY Down too!!! I think we get really spoiled at first and now's a time to reevaluate all our choices looking for the culprit, maybe losing slow is okay... but I don't like it!

Annie - my oldest son was 19 sept 1, also have 15.5 and 17.5 yr old sons. I'm glad you enjoyed being called "old people" she says it lovingly but that's what she likes calling my husband and me. I find it cute, but had second thoughts last night that it might have sounded insulting...

I feel like I really know you guys, you are such an important part of my day now! Last night I even dreamed that we got to meet each other in person! It was great. Love you all...

Zuleka - My oldest son is a freshman at local Jr college. I was SO relieved when he decided to stay home and go locally this year!!! I love my kids so much and am not at all ready for them to leave!!! Time has flown TOO fast! Liddle's baby idea sounds wonderful, but I'm now 40 so I've told myself I'll have to wait for grandbabies. Next year my oldest son and second oldest son will both be going away to college. I cry just thinking about it. I sure hope my heart can handle it...

Speaking of grandbabies.... my prayers are with yours Annie

My daughter gets togo to DC this year too with the academic team.I really dontknow how I am going to deal with that. I want to go with her but that doesnt seem possible right now. I have a 4 year old to worry about too.

Well, I got up this morning at 174 my highest in a long time. I dont know whats going on. Guess I will just have to be patient. Ican handle the scales not moving but when they start going back up for no reason then thats when I start to worry. I have been drinking 20glasses of water so it shouldnt be water related. I have gotten my walk in both days this week. We will see. My family is having pizza for supper this evening, wish me luck because right now I want it really bad. My thoughts are I am just buying one and they are really small so there wont be enough formy kids if i eat some too.

Annie, my labor was induced with my little boy and oh it was hard. It still took me 2 days to have him, he was early and my bp went up so they had to induce me. Ill keep her in my prayers.
