Count me in too! For some reason, going off plan seemed to be the norm over December so I've been back on plan since Jan 7th and so far doing great but this group is exactly what I need. I too love the fact that it isn't about weighing in. On plan for me is Atkins induction with one addition of the very very occasional glass of wine.

Welcome all and glad you're joining us! This does seem to work. I only have 3 trouble spots when it comes to eating clean:

1. The biggie: Don't snack between dinner and bedtime.
2. Drink 2 glasses of water morning, 2 afternoon, 2 evening
3. Bring my own homemade lunches to work (so I can control ingredients and portions)

Yesterday was another good day because I wanted to come back here and NOT have to start all over again. 5 down, 2 to go.

I added this bc I needed the visualization on chart to see success. It's hard to post success every 7 days when every good day is success. Everybody check to see if yours is right. Change yours when you want. I need to see a change daily.

My start date is wrong in your post - it's my fault, I made a typo. I've edited all my posts to change it, but it continues to pop up wrong in other's posts. If we always cut and paste from the last post in the thread, I think that will take care of errors going forward.

I hope it's OK if I join in. I resisted joining at first, thinking "I usually eat pretty clean", but what better way to know how clean you're eating than to see it in black and white?....and to use that progress to resist future infractions. Such a great idea, donnahill!

Hi Donna! Just noticed this thread, and I would like to join, too. I like that we each set our own goal and definition of clean eating. Right now, I'm trying to maintain (plan to lose more in the near future, but trying to intersperse some maintenance practice), so my success or failure for now will be measured by my scale. As long as I'm 183 or under, I ate clean!

Oops. Ive set myself new rules as well. But me and my housemate ate all the cheese i bought yesterday so can start a fresh today.

No cheese, no alcohol, no eating because im bored and no over eating at meals.

Oh this is exactly what I need to do... thanks WhoFan for sending me over here. And it's perfect... I can attempt to do a full week before I go and visit my daughter in NYC next week. I want to be feeling good enough (read: no joint pain) so we can hit the museums and everything.

I'm fine during the day (mostly) but in the evening, I want that glass of wine, which leads to snacking which leads to no weight loss! And so far today, I'm good. I started to walk to the candy drawer at the office.... and I turned away! I brought my lunch today and I got full before I finished it. I already have dinner planned and it's easy and elegant, which should satisfy me (even without the wine). And I have lots to keep me busy tonight, even if I watch Grey's Anatomy!

Thanks, WhoFan! It was your link to this on another thread that made me think: That really is a good idea. We can't lose weight every day, but we CAN eat clean every day.

I too have lapsed over the holidays. And, actually, since last January 22, when we moved out of our house for a week so the painters could swoop in prior to selling our house. It's been a real up and down year. Even though I've never had a real CarbFest (well, maybe once), I have "treated" myself far too many times in the past year and ended up gaining almost 15 lbs. I'm ready to get back to the straight and narrow this year and I feel certain this thread will make a difference. Oh, time to get a glass of water!

I'm still here, and tugging right along. I'm following my eating plan like its the easiest thing in the world we all know thats not the truth!

I got to thinking about wine earlier, darn it, shouldn't think about those things But, I will hold off till my birthday or some other great and valid reason to drink (Feb). In the mean time, its meat and salad vegies, oh, and way to much water

I've been exercising too, some day it helps with weight loss and others say it doesn't. Crossing fingers that it does help, because I'm doing lots of it
