p90x
hi, I'm new here but have had some of the articles on this site bookmarked for years, as I am very interested in low carb theories.
As far as P90X, I did it for over two years and loved it. It is a great investment, and I will probably use workouts from it for the rest of my life. That being said, it is really geared towards certain goals. It is not really designed to make people lose dramatic amounts of weight or gain a lot of muscle. I think it does what it was designed to do very well, which is get people fitter, more toned and stronger.
I have since moved onto a much simpler, and heavier lifting routine that consists of compound muscle group exercises like squats/dead lifts/pushups/pullups etc. I think this is a much quicker path tofunctional strength/size/fitness than P90X, for me anyway.
