Hi Carmen! Did you get a chance to read the book yet?
Just wanted to let you know Beef sirloin is yellow light, top/eye round is green light. Bake potato is yellow light, 2-3 new potatoes are green light. Rutabaga and turnips are red light foods. Pinapple is yellow light and so is pomegranates. Not to sure about the bread.
I know you said you were losing eating like this. We all eat yellow light foods every now and then. You just have too many in one day.
Please let me know if I can help. Looks like maybe you just don't understand the meal plans yet.
Take care, glad to have you here.
Chari

Surfer376,

Thanks for the tips - have not been able to get out yet for the book, but maybe this weekend. As it turned out, I did not have my planned dinner - had shrimp stir fry instead, so maybe not so bad a day as I had originally planned. There was only one rutabaga and 2 turnips in the entire, HUGE, pot of soup, so I probably only had one or two tiny pieces of each in my lunch - the veggies were mostly cabbage and green beans. Hopefully that wasn't enough to do any harm.

I made the crockpot oatmeal with steel cut oats and Splenda - was great for breakfast. Snack was 4 grapefruit slices, lunch-leftover shrimp stir fry. Tonight I planned the steak - I usually only eat about 3 oz of lean meat, and instead of the potato, I'll have just a salad. Plan on strawberries for dessert (Valentine's Day).

Still haven't had that steak! It's my grandson's fav food and he had requested I make it this week, but he's been sick and hasn't felt like eating it yet - maybe tonight?

Yesterday, I wasn't feeling so great either, so I really didn't have any dinner - just a couple of strawberries. This morning, my tummy still wasn't up to par. I had the stomach flu last Friday and haven't been completely well yet since then.

B: 1 slice whole grain, high fiber, low carb toast with 1 teaspoon sugar-free peanut spread; 1 glass low sodium V-8 juice

S: 1 stick string cheese

L: Grilled whitefish; veggies (mostly broccoli with a couple pepper strips and mushrooms)

D: ? - if we all feel okay, probably will finally have that steak and salad. Otherwise, ?

Water, green tea, coffee.
