Well considering you've answered all the Math for me........ I guess I don't know - no really I think there should be a poll to find out if anyone else suffers from this phenomenum - maybe there is some truth then to the belief that fat women are happy women???????

You know, semen is quite salty, I think it may be the extra salt. Extra salt always makes me gain a few pounds.

This is what I think. Try having se* 3 times in a row and see if the weight gain is consistant. It is possible that once a week isn't enough and it is causing you to retain water- I don't believe that it is a true weight gain. Also, are you on induction? Maybe you are getting too many carbs in those flavored lubes ( just kidding )

Sometimes a little weight gain is just plain worth it. You guys just crack me up (partly because I was already thinking what I saw in the next post I read).

Well, here I sit with my coffee, just having read all 3 pages. I have successfully managed not to spit the coffee on my screen while laughing. (And I have to say, the one at the top of page 3 was a REAL challenge).

I have some thoughts:

It seems like you are partly humorous about this and partly serious. For the serious part, here's some ideas.

CHALLENGE THIS, especially if it affects your sex life. Each time, do things differently. Such as:

OMG, LOL, how can I say this? Take none of the fluids into your body permanently. Condoms, tissues, ya know...

Eat NO SALT that day, NO alcohol, and REALLY burn up the calories that night.

Ok, if you eat no salt, take in no fluids, and STILL gain, then the next time, try eating VERY low cal and carb one day, followed by a fun night. I mean, eggs, salads, a light soup, NO EATING AFTER 6PM. Drink a ton of water that day.

OK, if you STILL gain weight that time, then I , would explore a psychological reason. Sounds heavy, but you would not believe the things the body can do.

One last thing. Are you sure you're not actually BUILDING MUSCLE? (ROFLMBO) I mean, you KNOW that muscle weighs 9 times that of fat right? Maybe you're just getting such good workouts that you're SHRINKING and firming???

Ok was doing some research on the subject. hehe

Here is what I found so far:

What is semen, exactly?
It's mostly water and mucus, but it contains traces of citric acid, sodium, chloride, ammonia, ascorbic acid, calcium, carbon dioxide, and cholesterol. Sperm is only 1 percent of the entire ejaculate.

A tablespoon of semen contains approximately six calories. Semen does contain protein, but it also contains all kinds of chemicals and minerals, including water, sugar, calcium, chlorine, magnesium, nitrogen, vitamin B12, and zinc. But it does not contain enough of any of these things to be considered "nutritious."

Can semen make you fat?
Only if you add it to mashed potatoes. "The caloric content in the average amount of semen [one teaspoon] is less than that of a single hard candy," says Brandeis. "Besides, the exercise you do while bringing your man to orgasm will certainly compensate for any calories consumed."


So the only question here left to ask is? Are you adding it to mashed potatoes?

LMAO. I think I have the opposite problem. DH and I have always been very active at bedtime - until the last 6 weeks. We're starting a business and haven't had a day off since mid January. We're over tired and very stressed. Now we're down to twice a week and my weight is creepng up with no diet change. I'm not sleeping nearly as well either.

I always sleep better after sex, so that's not a surprise. It really does relieve stress. I wonder if the activity was also helping with the weight, reving up my metabolism so I burned more calories at night. I'm on maintenance (since October) and eat enough for two but only started gaining this past month. I'm up to 150 as of today. Never wanted to see that "5" in the middle again. Didn't gain through the holidays but take away my sex and look what happens.

Wait, maybe I'm seeing a weight gain from the sex that I couldn't see before because we had it almost every night. AHHH! Guess it can go either way. (Not me, just the cause of the weight gain.)

I needed a thread like this. Great lunch reading. Now back to work!
