We had our annual staff group picture taken, and I didn't try to hide behind anyone - in fact I ended up RIGHT out front and was okay with that. Well, until I actually see the finished picture, anyway ;-)

A year ago I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without panting. Yesterday I helped my son move out of his dorm. From where I was allowed to park the car it was 1 flight down to his dorm and another flight up to his room. So I was going down, up, down, up multiple times. I wasn't even breathing hard!

I was also going up and down the stairs like a "normal" person - not 1 painful step at a time while hanging onto the rail.

Quote from my doctor this morning... "You are healing yourself."

I started the LC WOE on February 3. On March 10 I was first diagnosed as diabetic - with an A1C score of 7.1. As crappy as I was feeling, I'm sure I'd been diabetic for at least the prior year. Today, 3 months later, my A1C is now 6.0 (mid pre-diabetic range) and my fasting blood glucose was 87. The doctor said that given what she's seen, I may very well have an A1C number in the Normal range by my next visit. My cholesterol numbers were all good, too -- the best they've ever been. This is the news I was hoping for.

BTW: I found out my Doctor's husband is following a paleo diet, so she understands the concepts behind the LC way of eating. It is nice to have a doctor that supports my diet.

Love it.

I am only a few weeks in and newer to the community here. So I do not have anything that I am happy about just yet. I just wanted to drop in to say Wow, you all are doing great, and are such an inspiration! Keep it going!

Went into the Dr's office today for a blood test. All the nurses told me that I didn't need to lose anymore weight. In fact my Colombian buddy told me my pants were too saggy in the back.

That is awesome! Well honestly depending on your Body frame/muscle mass, you may be the correct eight for the size of your bone structure. All Along...

So now you can just sit back and enjoy Maintenance quit worrying about the last 20...

Get some new clothes and take your wife out for a night on the town and celebrate!

Okay, so I am cold constantly during the winter side effect of this way of eating. Which is fine. Little crabby about it.

But the upside, is I can way tolerate warmer weather... I actually slept last night with the A/C set to 75. Normally I be putting it down to 70.

To days in upper 80s-low 90s. I was wearing jeans in the house cause the house was too cold... House set to 76.

So that is a terrific upside Better tolerant of warmer weather
