I'd like to jump in! I've been eating more strict paleo because I have an event I'm really looking forward to in a few weeks, and I want to look fab.

I'm in a financial pinch and I'm fed at work, so I take advantage of that. The problem is, it's too easy to just grab what's close, which is is processed meats and cheese. By the time my shift rolls around, there's not much in the fridge except bacon and cheese. I overdo the cheese all the time. So I've given it up for now. I ditched the cream in my coffee, too. I'm using Coconut Dream and Almond Breeze for now. Yuck.

Going off dairy (I'm already gluten-free) seems to take off what I call "poof weight"... just sort of some water weight.

Welcome, Kristine! Hey, BigLoser, like Donna said just jump in and list your stats appropriately. For example if you started today your start date would be 1/16/13 and your end date for round one would be 1/23/13. I think Donna was very smart to construct it that way, because not having to wait for group start date means you get back up again immediately after a fall and it can prevent an all out week-long binge.

Yesterday I mindlessly went to the fridge for a late night cheese snack. That's a behavior from the bad old days for me. I remembered this challenge just in time and closed the fridge door - because otherwise, to be honest with myself, I would have had to re-start round 1 today.

Edited to add: I got distracted with a one-hour telephone conversation between typing this and hitting the submit button, so my post is out of date. Sorry!

Exactly! You were describing me when you mentioned the "all out week-long binge." My was a "year long" binge though. When I fall off, I'm always looking for the next start date instead of restarting immediately...like days away or something like that.

I love not having to weigh for this challenge too! I'm feeling successful daily this way! No games with the scale. It's just about eating, living, and enjoying. I think it would be easier to get into the frame of mind "it's a lifestyle" doing it this way.
I was so regulated by the scale each day, and not focusing on what I really ate. I need to feel bad about the food, not the scale!

Im prob going to change mine to just no alcohol. I bought loadsa cheese yesterday..

Or ill say cheese only with one meal a day. No snacking on cheese

My trouble spots is cany and ice cream. Don't have a care for alcohol (very seldom any way), could care less about grains, usually, takes a lot more than chips to throw me off plan. My trouble tends to be the candy, soft squishy fruity candys. Chocolate, ice cream, usually Snickers Blizzards. I want to get past wanting the junk, stop being mad because I can't have them any more. Ok, my biggest goal is to stop binging, and then, to loose the last 30lbs!
