Thank you for the advice Melissa. I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking of going into the second hand shop here in town-we have an amazing one. I figure the start of the year alot of people are getting rid of clothes after their new years diets. Gonna try to go tommorrow. Dh told me to go buy a pair at the store, but I'm hoping to get a pair for a couple of dollars and hope that I wont wear them long!

Thats what my dr always tells me-and I was in for rx. Said he needs correct weight. Its also a sign, up or down, for them to spot things, so he says.

Great. I've taken to only buying stuff on sale or a thrift stores recently since I am going through sizes like it's going out of style. I figure once I settle into a size, then I will spend a little more money on clothes again. But you'd be surprised what they might have a thrift store--the ones I was in over the weekend had brand name clothes, with pants at $6 or $7 a pair.

I never weigh at the doctor's office. I only see them once a year (unless I break a bone or something) and every couple years the nurse starts to walk me to the scale anyway (probably just forgot that I don't do that) and I just remind her I don't weigh and she's like "oh, okay". No big deal, no drama, just walks me on to the exam room. It's not a big deal, I've actually never heard of (though I'm sure it's happened) a doctor INSISTING that you weigh.

At my physical last week I had to get the doctor to fill out a form for work (they're on a big "wellness" kick), and when it got to height and weight he just asked ME what they were.
