Wow! My favorite foods! More for me! You know, there isn't one thing posted here I haven't tried and enjoyed. Menudo (yum, tripe), oysters (raw is best chased down with a Bass ale), eggs, octopus, gizzards (I'm sure my Mom made them, but I don't remember what they taste like), kidney, liver, tongue. I'd probably give brains a pass these days, never had them. I've had chicken's feet (Dim Sum), escargot... I haven't eaten any insects (intentionally) though if I went to that infamous entymologist dinner I'd probably try them.

Some people jump out of airplanes, some eat exotic foods!

splenda or any artificial sweetener (Except aspartame. Waiting until it's chased off the market by the newer things, so I will be sweetener free).

olives (only eat them on pizza, and now I don't eat pizza).

Liver
Brussel sprouts
Pork rinds (yuck!)
oh, lots of other stuff... For someone who got very, very fat, I don't like a lot of different food. But then again, it wasn't only healthy foods I disliked, there were plenty of unhealthy foods I wouldn't eat either.

Yep..no organ meat for me. I used to like oysters until I got a bad one once, and once is enough for a lifetime. I see a few people bashing the brussel sprout...I love them broiled in the oven with some olive oil and salt and pepper..yum! I will not eat any sardines or whole little fishes (especially with all the inards) and only like a few sashimi (raw fish sushi) items. I won't eat various odd animal parts and pieces..(reminds me, I will not ever eat chorizo again). My husband loves Mexican soups, and I will not eat them...tripe, goat, tongue and who knows what else in some of the stuff he brings home. The only vegetable I really don't care for is squash. There are only a few types I like and I have to cook them myself.

Goat cheese or goat milk!! Barf!
Potted meat
Spam
Slimy Asian vegetable dishes
Creamed corn
Oysters
Mushrooms (The thought of eating a fungus makes me want to puke.)
Most casseroles. They look like vomit to me.
Most soups. I have never liked soup.
Foods like tripe, chittlins etc. You know, the stuff not even the animal wants.

Here's a weird thing about me. I love eggs - fried, scrambled, boiled (fave), deviled, etc., but I cannot eat an omelet. When I was a kid, I had an omelet and a glass of water for breakfast one day, then later developed a nasty tummy virus. I know the omelet wasn't to blame, but it sure didn't taste too good coming back up. Now even the sight of an omelet makes me gag, and I still can't drink water first thing in the morning.

I won't eat the foods I'm allergic too, for most are low carb but if I eat them cause me to get sick, bing, or breakout!
(Chocolate, Tomatoes, Cheese, Eggs, Soy, Wheat just to name of few)
Of food I can eat: No way on: Pork, Organ meats, lamb, and veal. (Been on a farm.. at least a cow can trample someone)

I will not eat inscets unless I am stranded on an island and starving. If the ever happens, maybe I will eat bugs. Maybe.

I won't eat reproductive organs, blood sausage or brains.

I will not eat frog legs, squirrell, possum, nutria rats, etc. I guess I won't be visiting the swamps in Louisiana anytime soon!

LC Foods I'll NEVER eat

Blood pudding or sausage
Moose, Elk or Reindeer meat
Organ meats

All of which I know from personal experience and I'll never choose to eat again.

... And since I was just reading about the Donner Pass Party, I suppose I could also add HUMAN flesh to the list. Thankfully, I don't have personal experience with this LC food!

LOL. You kind of expressed part of my problem with the whole meat thing.

I could eat guacamole as long as it was made very spicy, to help disguise the sliminess of it, and if I was eating it with tortilla chips or mixed up in tex-mex food. I think in general I don't like really fatty foods, and avocado is apparently largely fat. I don't like mayo, and I used to scrape the extra bit of fat that's on chicken breasts off. I have no idea where this comes from, perhaps I internalized society's anti-fat message or something.

I have eaten all kinds of things, alot of which was mentioned, I will try nearly everything once except cow tongue, pig ears/feet, but I LOVE SAUSE-(you know the food that is made out of ground organs and made into a patty) with the vinegar or hotsauce. I do like liverwurst as well. I want to try livermush, its a North Carolina thing, just to try it. They serve it with breakfast. I also want to try a similiar version here in Tennessee, it's like cooked meats that are growned up and then mixed with cornmeal-(not lc)-made into a roll and then fried in the morning, just to say I tried it. My mom did make brussel sprouts cooked with a little lemon juice when I was pregnant and I loved it. I want to try some blood sausage just because every St. Patricks when I fix my half Irish daughter an Irish breakfast, that's the only thing missing, but I would try not it once, just to try it.

Anyway, I've had octopus, I've have baracuta, oysters-(yuck)-buffalo butt roast/buffalo heart and burgers-(YUMMY), spam-(no thanks)-deer and mutton meat-(YUMMY). I had a piece of moose jerky and was in love with some Salmon Jerky until I O.D'd. Some other stuff I can't remember but I would NEVER eat snails, sardines, fish that smelled like fish-(yes there is one that has no smell its called Tapia, I think), pickled pig feet/eggs, herring, liver-chicken or beef, or frog legs or turtle, shark or snake, opposum, I would try rabbit, but not any rodents or bugs or anything else coming out of a wild kill cookbook. Have you ever smelled a dead turtle before, I have and it's HORRIFIC. Hmmm...that's all I can think of right now. I do like sushi, but its not Lc so can't have it.

P.S. I don't cook or eat this stuff, but I have tried it and that's all that counts, it makes for great conversation-LOL!
