Hello, I have had PCOS for years. Come to the first page of my journal for the story. I have done TSP for about 1 1/2 years, with a bit of a problem last spring when I came down with pneumonia and had a bit of a set back, it seemed, I gained some weight back, (I didn't up date my stats at the time, because I was just starting good work outs again, and getting back to good eating, when I found out I was pregnant.) I went to a Dr. that put me on Glucophage, I will be honest here, if you have PCOS and a difficult time loosing, you may need this, you also need to do Weight work and work out big time. I have to work out very hard to loose the amount of weight that others do with half the effort. If you are having problems with Yeast, and are doing atkins, look at his stuff for yeast infections, make sure you are not eating any of the those foods, that would make more sense to me than the thought of ketosis causing the problem.
The yeast can also cause that stubborness in being able to loose weight.
I believe in TSP but the key with hers IS NOT weight loss, BUT getting the body in GOOD balance. There is a big difference. Remember she stresses get the body in balance and the weight will come off in time, and that is the crux of it, patience big time. Remind yourself daily that you want to be healthy, and do what helps you feel that way. That is why there are so many good programs out there, I don't what to do atkins, I don't think I would be able to follow it, but he has great info, and it works for many people.
I would seriously check into the yeast support group, and learn what foods actually can make it worse. There are foods that must be cut, including cheeses, grains, and other things. You have to treat it like those with gluten intolerances, any small bit can cause a problem.
