Hi again.

The point about the link I posted was it was the study that showed that CLA might have downsides - they believe they have shown that it promotes insulin resistance in some individuals (not helps it!).

I wasn't just posting general information about CLA - Adkpam asked for any info showing problems about CLA since Barry Sears refers to it.
Here's the link again.

Link to study about problems with CLA

I buy Tonalin. You should be able to easily get for around $18.00 per 90 capsules. If you look, you can get the distribution of Tonalin by Webbernaturals at Trader Joes for around $12; webbernaturals had a $1 coupon at its website.

There is also a liquid version of Tonalin called ThinFat.

The information from supplementwatch is great. Very useful site. I also value the negative information that JayKay posted.

I really like www.supplementwatch.com and the information it provides. Funny writing style:

The joke around the scientific meetings has always been that CLA is a great weight loss supplement for mice, but not so good for humans. This view, however, is rapidly beginning to change based on recent results from several research groups. . . . As a nice side benefit, CLA feeding also appears to reduce LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels in rabbits with elevated cholesterol. So what does this picture look like? - A Happy Barnyard!

hey guys! thanks for posting this information!! i have cla but have been hesitant to use it.

one that i find very helpful is thyrostart. it's nutrients for your thyroid, helping with your metabolism. it's natural, i believe and it just gives you extra energy and is ephedra free. i personally find it very helpful.

hope this helps someone, and thanks for all the info on CLA!!

CLA occurs naturally in foods such as milk, cheese, beef, and lamb

According to the bodybuilding.com website, I should already get a decent amount of it ?

I would say the same thing, but sub fish oil instead of flaxseed oil. I have been told that the body can convert more fish oil to Omega-3 than it can from flaxseed oil.

It is hard to notice any change from taking CLA. It is very gradual, and precisely nothing happens the first month. But after 2-3 months, I think I have lost inches and the persistent inches in the abdomen.

I'm nearing the end of my third bottle and haven't noticed any great number of inches lost or unusual effects. I think I'm going to stop taking it after I finish this bottle; it's expensive, the pills are huge, and I have plenty of other pills to take each day.

Yes, it is hard to perceive much benefit from CLA. It takes at least 2 months before anything happens. The studies on humans are inconclusive. www.supplementwatch.com. Still, I think it works.

No change from CLA in my blood pressure. Akins--and losing weight--lowered my blood pressure.
