Default Hey Melissa

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! The chronic fatique died in a day on Atkins. The hypoglycemic episodes slowed way down to three during the first 6 weeks and then none since. The three hypoglycemic episodes may have been caused by ordering Decaf in a restaraunt. If they bring regular coffee, there is no way I can tell by the taste. I've since made an issue out of double checking with the server anytime I order Decaf.

Last night I had big plans to get up at 4:00 a.m. this morning to do The Firm Upper Body so I had 0.5 cup Uncle Sam's Cereal with 1 cup milk. Well, 4:00 a.m. came and went and I had to leave the house at 5:30. ACKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have this false belief now that I've poisoned myself and will blow up with a 6-pound fat gain. The truth: those carbs didn't make me feel bad or have a hangover this morning and the scale was down about a half pound (hope it wasn't muscle).

Keep up the good work and I'll keep checking in here to see how things are going for you.

Had my PT test today and did very well!

2 mile run: 18:19 (needed 20:30 to pass)
Pushups: 37 (needed 17 to pass)
Situps: 53 (needed 45 to pass)

I can feel that my entire upper body is going to be very sore tomorrow. I felt pretty good during my test, not as tired as in the past. I had done better on situps at home, but during the actual test, you do them directly after doing the pushups, so your abdominal muscles are already pretty tired.

I passed my body fat test, but I now realize how totally inaccurate their methods are. Last time I was taped, I weighed 195 lbs, and they said I had 29% body fat. Today I weighed 180 and they said I had 30.25% body fat. That's the Army for you, I guess.

Default Congrats!

Way to go on passing your test. Thirty-seven push ups huh - - - I'd better get busy. On an excellent day, I can do 20 but I usually can do 16 or less. Not a passing grade.

Very sore today, but still shot basketball for 20 minutes & walked 3 miles (48 minutes) & did lots of stretching.

I am definitely paying for those 37 pushups. My pecs and triceps feel like mush. I took it to total muscle failure. If I'm not under the pressure of an actual test, I can usually only do about 20 or so good pushups.

Haven't done too much the past few days. We've been having rain, rain, & more rain. I did do a couple of 20 minute walks on my lunch break, and situps and pushups in the evenings. Hopefully the weather will clear up a little this weekend, so I can get some long walks in!

Walked 30 minutes on my lunch break this morning

Played 40 minutes of basketball. Me & DH had a pretty pathetic half court shoot out. I think my shoulder will be a little sore tomorrow.

Walked 44 minutes (3 laps). Our walking time on our laps has decreased almost 4 minutes over the last couple of weeks. Each lap is just under a mile.

Will do pushups/situps after this journal entry

Walked 30 minutes on lunch break

Played 25 minutes basketball

Walked 31 minutes ( 2 miles )

Can definitely tell the weather is changing. My hip joints and knees were so stiff walking tonight. I will do some stretching & crunches tonight, too.

Finally the weather cleared up enough to get outside tonight. I played tennis doubles for 2 1/2 hours & boy did it get cold after the sun went down! Won the match 6-0, 6-4, 2-6.
