Our bodies many times need time to rest and reccuperate from exercise....

I was on a five month stall... after seeing consistent weight loss for almost 10 months. I had not change my eating habits or exercise program. When your body loses weight it sometimes need time to readjust and find it's balance again. It may be that it is hanging onto your current fat until it determines that it is ready to lose again.

After my five months stall I started to lose again. Unfortunaltey there is not one answer that will tell you why you've stalled. Some of the suggestions you've recieved such as changing up your exercise program and re-looking at your food intake are things that have helped others.

Hang in there....

RMR=Resting Metabolic Rate. RMR is your obligated daily calorie burn. This is the number of calories you need in order to stay alive and function normally. RMR predictably changes along with bodyweight fluctuations. As you drop weight, so goes your RMR. To compensate, you need to lower your calories consumed and/or raise your calories burned.

go to www.mybodycomp.com and sign up with them. It is free, and there you can track your progress. It will also explain where to measure for the certain bodypart. Some people are alarmed however at the high Bodyfat % they are getting from that site. I truly believe it to be correct, because I have used the BodPod (only 1-2% difference from the Underwater method, which is currently the most accurate way to measure) and I had the same numbers after measuring and inputting (?is that even a word ) my measurement into the Site.
Good luck

oooooooooooooooooo baby!
seriously! go check out atkins or southbeach.. buy the books ! its so worth it.. and since you are already doing REALLY great with exercizing you are going to drop pounds like a crazy woman!!!!!!!!!! get on the train.
there are carbs in everything just about but meat.. and if your body is burning carbs for energy it is not burning fat. cut out most of the carbs and it has NO CHOICE but to burn the fat.. it is safe effective and believe me after the first few days you will have to force and i mean FORCE yourself to eat because it makes you so NOT hungry!
well, whatever you decide to do, i hope it goes well for you. You are doing terrific!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone has a certain amount of 'untrained' muscle. Anything we do that happens to change our activity can potentially cause this 'untrained' muscle to adapt. In light of this, yes, it is possible that your weight gain is from added muscle.

Since you first started this thread, what modifications/changes have you made to your nutrition and exercise plan?

It sounds like you are experiencing some of the best of both worlds. A 1% drop in bodyfat is great!
