I like starting a new challenge each month--it's like letting the old sins go and starting fresh. Just a thought I had while reading these posts.

Hey everyone! I'm so up for this challenge! I actually would like to lose a little more than 8 pounds, as I lose rather quickly usually. I'd like to be at 197 by the end of May, for a total of 11.5 lost. I really feel that I can do it.

I have been wanting to snack on something all day. I wanted a spoonful of p/b but decided to wait til I eat my chili for supper. Then I wanted ice cream and I didnt want to do that because with the chili and the p/b it will put me over on carbs. So far I have managed to not snack by grabbing me a big glass of water to sip on.

If you all have not tried this recipe for chili you need too. It is really good and doesnt take long to make. I made it a little too spicy because I bought "hot" diced tomatoes, that was my mistake. DH will love it tho. The recipe is in my journal. Its worth trying.

StacySheil - ooh, I've been having the munchies lately too! It's been driving me nuts! Good thing there's always water!

Huggs2ewe - congratulations! Its funny how sometimes a new weightloss takes a couple of days to stick, even when you're watching how you eat.

I have had the muchies today too, but fortunately I have been on conference calls all day and not even able to get lunch (finally got up and heated some chili at 3:30!). But the fact that someone else is having chili today is great....especially since it isn't that cold anymore. It is just a filling meal that is easy to make.

Added myself to the list! I'm excited to start this. I lost 25 lbs low carbing several years back, but the weight has slowly crept back on.

welcome Yaya. Wt creep I think can happen with any diet. I have been reading the Curves book and really like their maintenance program... which as we know will be lifelong. They suggest that you never allow yourself to go over 2-3#'s and as soon as you do you go back onto induction levels until it's gone and then return to normal eating which of course will always be lc. No white stuff! It's the 2#'s here and 2#'s there that slowly add up till before you notice you are up 10#'s and so on. It's not remotely suggesting that you have to diet life long probably 2/29 days. We can all do that. Can't wait till I get to maintenance... hopefully by next year at this time I will be on maintenance!

Hi there! Best of luck to everyone on this challenge! I would love to join but I am trying to stay away from the scale. I just thought if anyone wanted to join an exercise challenge for just May also, I would extend an invitation. Basically, you make goals you want to reach just for the month. I would love some extra motivation!!! May Exercise Challenge If not, best of luck to all in this thread! If you don't mind, I will be popping in and following your progress!!!
