Thank you

Have to shout - ate out last night (had a cobb salad and then a Kind bar in the car for dessert, and some espresso toffee bits when I got home!), but it didn't cause a swing. 170.9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this morning.

Yes, I will be kissing the 170s goodbye before New Years, heck, before Christmas, and I darn sure hope before Thanksgiving!

Pat-
OMG! That is amazing!

I'm just in a good place with my weight. I don't tend to focus on it as I just eat on plan and feel so good, but my weight has been very stable. I'm pretty happy with that.

Had a strange RM last night- running late between two meetings and didn't have time to get a normal (for me) dinner- went to Bojangles (southern friend chicken place where everything comes with a biscuit)- got a chicken breast, biscuit, and a side of green bean. I left most of the fried part- too salty- but I am pleased to not have a bump up on the scale this am.

Tonight I'm planning on eating home and having leftovers.

Later-
E

Hi ladies, just updating to say I'm hovering in the 219 range for a few days now. I think its because I think I'm experiencing a phantom period(symptoms but no show) I'm glad to say I haven't gained anything this week...will keep on keeping on....

I hope to get to that place where I don't need to focus on the weight, just on enjoying cooking (cause that will never stop..lol).
Funny..I'm suddenly in a mood for fried chicken. Been looking up KFC to see if I could handle a green bean side and their chicken breast, to have as a meal with a large salad I'd make. Second thought, given the sodium in their foods..just the chicken thank you, I'll do all the rest
New one day low this morning - 170.1 (so just by one tenth). I can TASTE the 160s!

well. its a little whoosh, but lovely to see! I dropped from 219.9 to 218.2 overnight. Lets hope I never see 219 ever again! thanks for the encouragement. Feels good to be understood...even from a distance.

I didn't really feel like eating much at RM last night- here's what I had, Protein shake, 3 homemade chicken strips- baked; 1/4 cup buttercup squash with butter & salt, handful of potato chips. I just didn't want anything else- in fact I had to put some leftovers in the fridge- I'll have to finish last nights dinner tonight.

I'm so glad not to be craving anything, or hungry. What I have most difficulty with is making sure I drink my coffee and cream in 15 minutes- I generally fail with that.

If one has their coffee with their meal, either CM breakfast or RM, does the coffee and cream fall within the hour time limit or does it have its own stand alone 15 min limit no matter when its consumed?

With the meal it is part of the meal/meal limit.

thanks, what if its the only thing I'm having as the meal? then its 15 min right?

like right now, I've got one minute to finish my coffee unless I count it as my one hour CM meal. Sorry to be nit-picky but I have such trouble with this.

hi-
my understanding is that the coffee - with cream- is 15 minutes.
The Rm is limited to 1 hour-
the CM is not limited.
This is my understanding of the plan from the CALP book.

Pat? Z?

Welcome back- J

I made my favorite winter soup last night- a beef and cabbage soup with tomatoes. YUM. RM was a big bowl and some bread.
Tonight RM will be a sandwich and soup. Tomorrow - soup!
Later-
E

I have been going through the last few pages on this thread. You all have some delicious meals. It is nice to know that I can eat real food that taste good and still reclaim my health.

I am praying and praying that I am able to stick with it this time.

Today was great. No problems at all. I stayed on plan.

My reward meal was meatballs with gravy, stir fry vegetable mix, roll with butter, tea

My understanding was that coffee with cream needs to be finished in 15 minutes (and I still struggle with that!). Length of meal - rm is limited to one hour and I believe any cm would be as well. The Hellers talk about a second insulin release that occurs at 70 minutes, so I would not ever want to go over an hour.

I'm doing oatmeal for dessert this week..lol..tells you just how cold it is here for this area!
