Hi, I'd like to join!
My name is Gloria, I'm 23 years old and I'll be 24 in August- and i can't believe it, I still feel like i'm 21. :/
I have been overweight a good portion of my life. Gained a lot when I was 7 or 8, lost alot when I was 13-14 (pre-eating disorder stage), gained in my last three years of high school (more than enough teenage drama- seems that's all my life was- drama, drama, drama), lost in my freshmen year of college from ephedra pills, gained in my junior year- drama again, lost later in my junior year from more eating disorder behavior (started off good on Atkins, but got greedy and wanted to be 120 lbs)- 700 calories a day or less and exercising 5 days a weeks for 2-3 hours, and lastly, gained once I graduated college- about 30 lbs.
*taking a breath*
So now I'm here, doing it the RIGHT way. Extreme Yo-Yo dieter is here! I work as a Sr. Admin. Assist. in a office- has nothing to do with my major but it pays the bills. Hope to start graduate school in the next year, hope to get a car in the summer. Will also go on a shopping spree once I hit 140!

Can I join in? I am Mary and I have been doing this for a solid 4 years. I am far from reaching goal but I believe that I have a good reason. I am turning 50 this year. I am peri-menopausal and my body is fighting menopause with all its might by hanging onto fat. In the mantime, my body has been in a healing state. I once had painfully itchy skin, hypoglycemia, migraines, achy joints and all of those things have vanished. I even seem to have less gray hair. I am an advocate of eating like this and wish that I had eaten this way all my life. In a sense, I have always been a low carber because I did not like bread, rice or even doughnuts when I was a kid. I couldn't eat them, they would make me gag. In contrast to my younger years, I was literally skin and bones as a kid. I am not proud of that. I prefer having meat on my bones but I can see how it is easy to live without bread, or any high carb product. I would love to be a part of this group.

HI! Guys!

I'm back!

I haven't been on program because I was waiting for The Let's go walking Walking Mississippi campgain to jump off in my city. This is a state wide campaign in Mississippi to get people up and walking. The program jumped off this morning in my city and it goes like this, it's free to enter and you get a free pedometer and a walking tracking sheet. You may also have your weight tracked. Weight in is once a month at the city park, who ever looses the most weight by Sept. 1 wins a prize.

When the city did the campagin 2 years ago my uncle won and the prize was a trip for 2 any where in the world!

I'm 100% postive that I was the biggest person their at 291 not that many people entered the program this year. I didnt feel bad about being the biggest it just ment that I had more weight to loose and a better shot at winning the program

The program started at 7:00am and it was feezing cold the result- I think I have frost bite on my lips, (I stay in Mississippi and we don't frost bites!)

The weigh in will be sep. 1 on that day the winner will be announced at this huge festival that the city has every year.

I will try to walk at least three times a week, oh and Christian is fine thanks for asking!

Thanks! I'm 44 and do mortgage underwriting as my "day job." I also write fiction and articles as a part-time thing. I'm on a med that makes my body think it's entering menopause so losing weight is now harder than it used to be. I would love to lose about 25-30 pounds.

Great to be here with friendly people!!
