I am like that too. When I am unhappy I don't eat.

In fact dh teased he could leave me if it would help me lose a few pounds.

Depends on the day.

The best way I've found to get my hair to stay is to wash it in the morning, blow dry it for a few minutes, then let it air dry (4 hours for my hair). Then I spray a light layer of hairspray on it after I curl it.

My hair has to be pretty clean in order to keep a curl. But it does pretty good....most days I put big spiral curls in my pony tail, and it stays until the end of the day.

Well that's only for my mini goal. I find that if I break up my goal into mini goals, it helps me a lot more. I feel discouraged when I see the loooooong road ahead!

I've always been that way. When I was little my dad would say, "Anna you need to wash those dishes before your mother gets home!" I'd pout and complain that there were soooo many dishes and that I'd NEVER finish! He'd always say the same thing "Don't look at the big mountain, just work on it dish by dish. Next thing you know, the mountain is gone." lol I guess I still have a problem looking at the big mountain.

Plus, since it doesn't actually curl, just creates waves, I think it's easier for it to stay.

So you put it in the ponytail first and then curl it? I should try that.

I had the cutest guy trim my hair Friday night. I thought for sure he'd be gay, he was cute and had a deep accent of some sort. But I don't think he was, has an adorable daughter too.

He was awesome with the blow dryer--I could never repeat what he did by myself. Dh loved it and I had to crush him and tell him I can't do that (and wouldn't spend all that time daily anyway!)

Mix the creme & gel, 2 parts cream to 1 part gel in hands than put on wet hair then blow dry, that combination helps hold the curls real well, most of the time it takes very little hairspray and hair isn't cruncy, best hairspray for curly hair is paul mitchell freeze & shine.

Awesome tips! Thanks Lynn! I've tried using mousse, but not gel.

I think you will like the creme and gel mixed, I do that everyday for my hair,
best creme is Rusk Radical Creme or Joico I.C.E. texture cream.

No...I've tried that, and it looks kinda icky.

I sloppily curl mine quick in the morning, then throw back into a pony tail on work days.
