im a 19 year old in college. i live in miami. so i understand what immense pressure your under, but dont cave in.

Missaec, i love you hair cut! i think alot of women cut their hair after reaching land marks in their life. loosing weight, ending relationships, etc.

thanx for the cheesecake tip ladies! tonite i OD'd on chocolate cake. WHY OH WHY?! but i repent of my sins.

i dont count carbs, 146pounds, but i do eat things i know are low in carbs (meat, vegs)

i dont know if any of you ladies have been to miami (i live in south beach) but the pressure to be hot is intense. yesterday, i saw pharrel at my local bagel shop! the competition is intense, and im struggling to compete. on top of all this theres an ex weighing on my mind. we had an inter-racial relationship that i wasnt exactly ready for, and hes moved on. i know i need to as well, but it isnt that easy.

and on top of all this, another nite i've eatten to much cake.

whats a girl to do?!

stay strong ladies!

Yes. Fitday.com is a great way to track your intake. It's a bit of a pain at first, but after a few days it's very easy to use because you can quickly add foods that you eat often. I track my calories, fat, carbs, fiber, and protien. (I'm weight training, so keeping track of all of these is important.)

I don't count mine, but that's because I've been doing this for so long (off and on) that it's almost second nature to know when I've had too much.

Lori~I kind of count mine. I was really good about using Fitday daily for awhile and then one day I forgot and I haven't since! I should start again. I agree with Seanna, when you begin, it is a pain but once you enter in your foods, it taked a minute or so. I think people tend to eat the same things over and over again...that's why it becomes alot easier. Plus, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on how many carbs are in what so most days I am guestimating. Not a good method, I know

Jilli~Pharrel! Wow, did you say anything to him? I bet in SB you get a few celebs. Anybody else you've seen down there?
You should throw that cake out woman! Outta sight, outta mind, like they say! Come on here when you feel tempted and write about it, you should also open up a journal! Do you still see your ex alot? That must be hard to feel all the pressure of that, plus weight loss, plus school. It is hard to be a grown-up!! Stay strong, my dear...you can do this!!

He is a really cute rapper/r&B guy. If you have ever seen him, it has probably been with P. Diddy or Snoop.

No as my screen name implies I'm a bit of a metal-head.

Hi Ladies!
On counting carbs- I've been LCing for three years, and still am sometimes surprised by my carb count at the end of the day. I've just started putting the next days foods into Fitday so that I won't be like, "crap, I really messed up today!" It seems to be helping. I have a really hard time trying to figure out what to eat, so this is a way that forces me to plan ahead a little bit.
ANYWAYS, hope you all are having a good day.

Seanna

I agree with Truckgirl. If I don't count my carbs using something like fitday I tend to underestimate what I eat.... it helps me.

Well I tried my new elliptical machine I got and its a real ass kicker! Its tougher than the ones at the gym. I did 15 min and burned 275 calories. Going back to do another 15 after my heart rate settles down.

DANG!! Are you just doing a really steep hill? I've never had it say I burned 275 in 15 min! Hmmm, maybe I should do a harder level!

So I was all inspired by the Biggest Loser last night. I never weighed as much as any of them, but if they can do it, I can too! So I did 5 miles at the gym today... 3 on the treadmill, 2 on the elliptical... ill feel it tomorrow.
