Well, this is the 2nd time this week I hit 202, so I figured I would make it official. This 10 lbs. has taken 2 months to drop, and after dropping the initial 5 the move down became glacially slow. I did shake things up the last 7 days by skipping breakfast during the week...aided by the fact that I bought a super automatic expresso machine (DeLonghi Dinemica) and have been having 2 cups of double shot cappuccinos each morning....which makes the morning go by quicker:-) and seems to suppress my hunger a bit. Throughout this time I have not strayed from plan, except for wine in the evening (Pinot), 1 beer when a friend died, a few squares of 85% chocolate a day, and whole milk in my cappuccinos. I have consistently exercised about an hour a day, 5 days a week.
I will re-up for the 10 lbs. challenge, although I have set my target weight at 195. If I could hang at this weight without effort for the rest of my time on this planet I would...my wife says I look good now and my pants fit easily and comfortably. But I know that if I don't have a goal to work towards, I will backslide and find myself pushing 220 again, and at 58 it is so much easier to gain 20 lbs. than lose 20 lbs. It may be a bit bumpy on this next leg of the 10 lbs. challenge, as my weight can fluctuate by 2 lbs. on a given day, but I do look forward to seeing 1XX on the scale eventually.
Keep pushing all!!
