I thought teeccino was fine but it ended up being bad news for my gut. Anyone who has a sensitive gut stay away. Nice call Nancy on the whole gluten thing. I should have listened to you.

I'm sure the inulin doesn't help either being fructose intolerant as well.

I almost got some since they're certified gluten free. Apparently a lot of companies are finding ways to get gluten out of barley. Maybe I'll contact the company and see if they have samples.

Teeccino might not be so good if you have a touchy digestion. The inulin can cause some nasty rumblings. Of course the inulin is touted as a health benefit on the back of the package.

I'm happy with my Teeccino, but I do love chocolate so this is something I think I'd like to try.

Anyone tried it? There's a review of it here: http://weheartthis.com/2009/04/21/c...ocolate-review/

That looks really good. Expensive, though. I'll bet you could find a better price on cacao nibs and steep them like tea or use a French press.

I have some tea with cacao nibs, and even though there's very little cacao in it, it really comes through:

cacaoberry green tea

That was expensive too, though. Tea bags can be used twice, which defrays the cost.

I make a 60-oz pot of tea from one tea bag in my Braun coffeemaker (stuffing the bag at the bottom of its cone-shaped filter holder or using loose tea in a coffee filter) - it gets lots of flavour out of just one bag. I pour leftovers into a glass bottle & chill in the fridge for iced tea later.

The one with dates is the worse. Hot water is good.

I actually drank hot lemon water just lightly sweetened and kind of liked it.

I personally think its better to kill off the whole thing - the drink hot liquid in the morning association. Just drink cool water - if you need to.

As someone who has quit his share of addictions, I must say caffeine is the hardest, by far.

That might be true. Still haven't completely given it up. Just coffee.

I'm down to one watered-down cup of espresso (an americano). I feel a little spacey and groggy because the pollen count today is through the roof.

If I can give up coffee, the dairy isn't far behind because half my daily intake of dairy is cream in my coffee.

Thanks Nancy!

I'm supplementing with iced green tea. I don't see giving up caffeine altogether, just coffee.

That's what I did. But I suspect tea in large quantities does the same thing to me that coffee does.

Tea, even green tea has close to the same amount as coffee. So I dropped all sources of caffeine. Now I drink herbal teas.
