Luvley,
I don't know if you are still around here, but I emailed you. I am auntiemmy. I am 19 like you and I think we could have a lot in common to talk about! Hope to hear from you.
Going by that thing where they say that at 5 foot you should weigh 100 and add 5 pounds for every inch over 5 foot that you are... then 140 when you are 5'8 would be perfect... that would be like me being at 120 though and Luvley being at 100.
Your goal being 140 would be about the same as mine being 120 and hers being 100...both of us have actually added 5 pounds to our goals over that....but for me it all depends on how I look and feel...I am planning on doing even more weight lifting as time goes on... right now I do some on the Bowflex and the Total Gym along with a 2 mile up and down hill walk every evening and sometimes belly dancing workout and exercise ball and dumbells...working out is addictive...I don't feel right now if I don't do at least my 2 mile walk on any given day....I can't help but think about how I probably would have never gained all this weight in the first place if I had viewed exercise the same way as I do today!
Good luck on acheiving your goal of 140!.... I bet you will look great!
Today is day 2!.....im doing good...eating more...feeling heavier but im hoping it time it will all fit into place...im praying!...
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR UR POSTS!
In the US if a serving size has less than a gram of carb then the manufacturers are allowed to put down zero. It pays to learn to read the INGREDIENTS on the packet as well as the little breakdown of fats proteins sugars and carbs. While on this WOE I've learned I'm very sensitive to refined flours...as well as sugar...so I'm learning to read the ingredients now...
why do i feel as if im gaining more than loosing?....i am eating my 3 meals, and i understand im someone who was only eating once a day but still i do not feel any happier, i feel like im binge eating, and to be honest i feel fatter than i felt befor i started 3 meals a day?!?!? what do u think...someone answer please....
And how much time are you willing to put into it - ie, could I talk you into 3-4 hours a week, plus some short-ish (20-30 minute) brisk walks a few times a week?
Luvely, I think that you are tying a lot of emotions to what you do or do not eat. Statements like "I do not feel any happier" lead me to believe that you are looking to food (or the lack of it) to fulfill some emotional need and that is not a normal relationship with food. Food is fuel, not emotional support.
From a logical standpoint, eating 3 meals containing adequate nutrition for your body's needs on a regular basis is what is best for your body regardless of how you feel. Eating a normal amount 3 times a day is not binge eating.
From an emotional standpoint...Luvely, you need to talk to a professional about your feelings in relationship to what and how often you eat. We can support and encourage you, but really this forum (and the internet in general) is no substitute for a trained professional. Please do what you can to find the help that you need in that area.
