Smile 4 Week Results

I must be insane for posting these pictures and stats,
but for some reason I'm going to do it. I'm really
pleased with the results so far and can't wait to see
what week 12 will bring. I've got a ways to go, but
now I know it can be done. What an awesome feeling!!
Just a quick history - I had twins in June and was
confined to bed for 7 1/2 months of the pregnancy due
to complications. Gained quite a bit of weight and
probably lost whatever muscle tone I had pre-pregnancy
due to the inactivity. Here are my beginning/current stats:

Challenge 1 Day 5 (November 22nd)

Weight - 156
Neck - 14
R Arm - 12
L Arm - 11
Waist (smallest part) - 30.75
Abdomen (around belly button) - 34
Hips - 39.25
R Thigh - 24.2
L Thigh - 23.8
Calf R - 14
Calf L - 13.8

Challenge 1 Day 27 (December 14th - End of Week 4)

Weight - 152 (-4 lbs)
Neck - 15 (n/c)
R Arm - 11.5 (-.5")
L Arm - 11.5 (+.5"??)
Waist - 30.5 (-.25")
Abdomen - 33 (- 1")
Hips - 38.25 (-1")
R Thigh - 23.5 (-.7")
L Thigh - (-.8")
L Calf - 13.75 (-.05")
R Calf - 14 (n/c)

Total fat loss of 4 lbs. and approximately 4" lost in 22 days! I calculated my body fat % based on my measurements and it only shows a .7% loss, but I really think it is more.

Just a warning - I had to take these pictures in my bra and a pair of shorts b/c I haven't owned a swimsuit in at least 7 years.

Hope some more BFLers will post their pictures...they are such a great source of motivation and inspiration.

Nat - All of your success and the great information you provide inspired me to start BFL - THANKS!!

Robin

Robin, you're so cute! You didn't need to tell us which was the before and which was the after, it's very obvious. The measurements may say you've lost 4" but it looks like a lot more, especially around your tummy area!

Nice job Can't wait to see what 8 more weeks does for you!

Robin!!!

Your pics are excellent!! I like the first one, where you are laughing in the pic, its cute!!! You are doing SO awesome, wow!!

And, the fact that you had twins, OMG!! My biggest fear, giving birth!!! Holy Moly! You must be really excited seeing your progress, that is encouraging! You will be so pleased with you results by the end of week 12, cant wait to see the next ones!!

thanks too, for stopping by my journal! Its always a treat to have someone visit in there! I am trying to get my thesis done by Feb, the draft is due by mid Jan. I am doing my MA in Environemntal Management, and I love what I am researching, its just the overall process that is stressful with the tight deadlines.

I didnt work on it this summer because I was leading kayak tours, now I have to make up for lost time!!!

thanks for your encouragement too, and kind words, I found a pic in the latest Energy magazine that I would love to end up looking like, it may be unrealistic, but is a goal to strive for, and keep me from eating sweets over the xmas holidays... its all a continual journey!!!

Hope Week 5 is a good one for you!!!!

cheers,
d

Robin

You look awesome! I can't wait to see you at the end of your challenge.

My daughter had twin girls, they were born normal weight, both were over 6 lbs. She got so huge that her skin was stretched to capacity and now looks like hamburger meat and hangs something awful.

I am impressed with the fact that you don't look like you have many stretch marks! Good for you girl! You are truly an inspiration even for the old broads like me!

Default Thanks Everyone!

Just wanted to thank everyone for their posts. I spent half the day yesterday wondering why/regretting posting those pictures. There haven't been enough changes to really make it worth posting them. I guess I was just so excited that there have been any changes at all. Anyway - I really appreciate the encouragement and compliments from all of you and hope I have something good to show 8 weeks from now.

Wow, 4 weeks? What a difference, you look much more toned. I can't believe that's only a 4" difference.

I am just finishing my 12th week and feel great. I have had lots of compliments even though I have not lost anymore weight. BFL is a great program, I hope you enjoy the rest of your first challenge. I can't wait to see your 12 week pics!

WOW! Today after assessing my current lack of results I decided that I need to go back on an eating regimen. Anyhow coming here and seeing your fabulous results has really motivated me to do BFL again. Keep up the AMAZING work. You can REALLY see a difference, especially in your mid-section! I hope you post again with your further progress!

Way to go!

I am a little late jumping in here but wanted to say that you are doing great.

Isn't it wonderful to see the results from such hard work. Nothing like it, eh?

Don't forget that we will want to see the results when you reach the end of this challenge.

Take care,
Homegirl
