Thumbs up 15+ Pounds Less by Dec. 31st (Everyone Welcome)

I thought I'd start this challenge for anyone wanting to lose 15 or more #s by end of December.

Perfect timing for me! I'm in! My goal was 10 pounds because even on low carb I tend to lose slowly. I just started again 3 days ago.

Start Date: 10/19/13
Start weight: 292
Current Weight: 271 (3 days ago on Sunday)

Dec 31st Goal: 156


I'm not allowed to weigh myself except once a week- It's something I've been obsessive with over the years- So I committed to my nutritionist and doctor that I would only weigh once a week... If you want me to start with next Sunday's weight let me know.

Cheryl, Great to have you on board. I get obsessive with weighing as well, and try to only do it once a week. But sometimes it is every day, then every few days, etc. Weigh in when you want, no set dates here. On your goal weight, did you mean 256?

I just really wanted to start this to get some motivation and support during the holiday feasts. I really need it as Thanksgiving is at my house this year.

I'd like to join this challenge. I was in the 40lbs by Christmas challenge but I don't think that is going to happen. I've lost 40 lbs since I started LC after Memorial Day, but we have been away alot the last couple of months and with eating out and sometimes not having a scale to weigh in, I haven't lost much this past month. It's been a long time since I've been in the 160's and I weighed 170 the day before we left for vacation at the end of September. Then I gained almost 10 lbs back in the 10 days I was away.

This challenge looks achievable and will, hopefully, give me the incentive to get the next 15 lbs off.

Here's my update-- I know I messed up on my first post, but now I put in my start weight for the challenge and fixed my goal weight from 156 to 256.

That's not really bad Kelly. Our bodies fluctuate day to day, moment to moment. I know my scale can say a difference in 2+ lbs sometimes overnight and I don't think I've lost that. A couple time I have weighed myself throughout the day after that and even then there is a big difference. So I weigh the same time, same clothes, same scale now and just monitor it.
