I'm 243 now. My June goal is 237. Six lbs for the month. I can do it and I may even lose more bc my family and I are working on our garage and it's a plastering job. Very physical labor. We intend to work very hard and get it done so we can refianance our house. So here's to June!!! New beginnings!

Less ambitious this month, it's going to be a tough one. I'm going for 8lb which considering the number of birthdays and parties is just about doable.

my weight now is 314..my goal for June is to be 299.8. I know that's probably a little over ambitious but I'm going for it any way :-) I hope everyone reaches their goals!

Don't worry about aiming high, just having a goal keeps you focused.

Down another 0.22lb this morning, negligible I know but I'm weighing daily to keep my focus.

Ooh forgot to add, I'm trying to get to walking 2 miles a day, at the moment, my current route is 0.7 miles with some nice hills. I get bored just walking, so it needs to be walking to do something. Any suggestions?

Other goals are: 3L of water a day and 2x15 minute kettlebell sessions per week. Got a 2L bottle on my desk plus whatever I can chug at home.

Have a great month everyone

Geocaching! At first glance it doesn't seem like such a great choice because it involves stopping and searching every so often. I've tried hiking in for the amount of time I want sustained effort, then caching back out. That works pretty well. It adds to my total step count and time, and I get the thrill of the find (not always).

If you want something you can do without buying a GPS, what about figuring out the distance to someplace cool, then tracking your mileage and walking to that place? How many miles is it to Yellowstone? Keep track of your daily mileage and see how long it takes you to 'walk to Yellowstone'. Keep a fun and funky chart somewhere you will see it.

Edited to add, sorry, I seem to have messed up the quote feature. Blech.

I'm in!

June Goals: 8 pounds lost, exercise 30 minutes 3X weekly, increase amount of time I can do the eliptical. Currently I can only manage 6 minutes at a time because my knees give out, but last week I could only manage 3.

Right now I am at 242.4 so my goal by the end of June is 234.4, plus building sustainable exercise habits.

I need to revise my goal - weight - mid-250's. Exercise - continue going to the gym 5x/week. Quit smoking, starting tomorrow.

Well, looks like I'm set to have a good month. I'm down another 2lbs this morning. Still hitting the gym 5 days/week. Elliptical - 8min at 4-5mph as a warm up, and a 30 minute circuit, followed by some crunch machine... Let's see how I hold up once I kick the nicotine tomorrow.
