Default "different' margarita

I love the splenda sweetened margarita mix out there. You can't find it locally though, the only place I know of that has it is GNC an hour away.

We were having mexican tongiht so I experimented. I found some diet Hansen's that was tangarine line. I added some fresh lime juice and tequila of course. It wasn't perfect, but definetly interesting. Hansen's is splenda sweetened and I think a little cheaper then the mixer, but not as many servings

I think I just saw some of this mix on netrition.com. I've found their prices relatively cheap, and their shipping prices are low too!!

Your treat sounds yummy!!

I wonder if they will ever make flavored liqours low carb. I am not going to drink until I am off induction but, I don't want to be limited to just diet coke and rum!! I wish I could have some coffee brandy or cinnamon schnapps, you know?? Well, I'll give your margarita's a try....What does everyone else drink besides low-carb beer(gross!) and rum and diet coke?? I need some ideas

I drink quite a bit of wine. White is lower in carbs than red, and the drier the better. Stay away from white zinfandel or anything sweet like that.

Vodka gimlets are good Also, if you like coffeeish drinks.. Davinci makes a SF Kaluha syrup that you can mix with vodka and a splash of heavy cream. Voila, a 1 carb White Russian.

mie4Prez - You can make some Lc liquers. Irish cream, kalua and so on. I'm like beans though and take the lazy way out using DaVincci. Irish coffee made with coffee, irish whiskey, cream, then a little irish cream flavored syrup is soo good.

You can find the SF syrups in many local groceries near the coffee aisle, otherwise you may have to order the more *exotic* flavors on the internet.

Most groceries I've seen just have vanilla, maybe hazlenut. Make sur eit's a splenda sweetened brand though. DaVincci, Torini, and a couple others are. A health food store here has Torini's which I get lcoally. THey are a little cheaper, and no shipping. For the really unusual flavores though online is the way to go.

The toasted marshmallow syrup is great in hot chocoalte, and the spice one is wonderful for tea. Check out the netrition.com http://www9.netrition.com/cgi/prices.cgi?manu_id=121

Some flavores like the pancake, grape, or banana just sound nasty to me though

I made eggnogg over the holidays, just substituted splenda for the sugar and it was yummy.

The margarita mix is called Baja Bob's, and it is really good! You can get it on-line. I recently found a lc store that stocks it here in Atlanta.

Even though lc-ing seems to have negated my heretofor hollow leg, I can still manage a vodka martini now and again. And again. And two olives, please.
