Default So grateful I could cry...

I don't know what I would do without these forums! I've been trying this WOE on foodstamps and it's been do-able, but difficult. My DH doesn't LC and cupboards were getting a bit bare so I pulled a roast from the back of the freezer and slow cooked it. I was out of anything LC as a side, with 1 day until foodstamp day, so I made dumplings(supposedly for DH). That did it! 3 months without a cheat and I pigged out on dumplings! I followed that with chocolate candy that I'd gotten as a gift months before and stashed way up on a shelf. Cold cereal for breakfast(shopping day), then while at the grocery store, I had to have marichino cherries...I had to have them! I bought a small jar and ate the whole jar on the way home. More roast and dumplings for dinner with a big glass of milk.
OK, I'm now re-stocked, and back on induction, but I was feeling sooo guilty until I visited this forum.
Thank you all so much for being here! I know that I'm not alone and I'm not a horrible person. And I won't be making dumplings again any time soon.

Oh gosh, if I have heard this once I have heard it ten times over....honestly, take it from a old timer here on the boards...you are most definately NOT alone!! I have this theory that you gotta screw up just once in order to find out how terrible it makes you feel. It makes you feel crappy, it makes you gain weight and it makes you feel guilty....worth it? I think not
So you were right to come find us lovely people, we have all been there in your shoes (and those who say they have never ever had a slip up are telling lies!!) and so we understand!!
Very nice to see you here, hope you have the best of luck with your remainding weight loss - and remember if you ever do slip up....we're all human, don't beat yourself up over it

My goodness - you have so many challenges, and yet here you are, DOING IT! Forgive yourself for having a bad day; as foxgluvs said, we've all had them. All you can do is make cheating an exception and not a habit, and it sounds like you've got that part down already. Hugs to you, dear. Tomorrow is a new day for everyone on the boards, no matter how good or bad we've been before.
