Welcome all

How about a thread to see who is around and where in UK you all live?

I live in Bournemouth and have been Atkineering since June 2003. Now eating pre-maintenance levels of carbs having gone through the OWL rungs without finding any particular problem foods (lucky me )

I lost most of my weight in my first couple of years and now seem to have weighed the same for ages, but I am still losing inches here and there, so not 'officially' stalled.

My goal for this year is to carry on making this way of eating my 'normal' WOE and to lose about another 15-20 pounds and one more dress size!

Anyone else out there?

Hi! I'm in London and have just started Atkins for the first time on 1st Jan. I'm really impressed that you've stuck to this way of eating long-term and that it's worked for you so well. I've never even considered low-carb eating before - like many people I suppose I've gone low fat, high carb when I've wanted to lose weight, which has always been a struggle (now I know why...) Induction has made me extremely dehydrated even though I'm drinking around 3 litres of water daily and I'm thinking of increasing by 5 or 10 carbs a day so I can get a bit more veg and some fruit into my diet. The main thing for me is cutting down on carbs and cutting out all the bad carbs - white flour, sugar - for good. My goal is to eat healthily, exercise regularly and lose 20lbs (or maybe a little bit more).
